So what exactly is a Master at Arms? Sorry...I have no idea about this stuff. I've heard the term before but don't know what it means in the Navy.

I am so happy to hear that the graduation date has been cleared up. Rest easy with that moms of div 57 & 58. I am glad they didn't change to an earlier date, will be looking forward to meeting all my new friends.

Denise Ship 11 Div 057 - MA Is Master at Arms, I believe...Congrats on getting your letter!
Comment by Denise on December 6, 2010 at 6:32pm
Yay...form letter finally arrived! Just like Kathy and Penny, the PIR date of 1/28/11 was scratched over with 1/21/11. He added a comment saying he made M.A. three days ago...anyone know what that means?
Comment by Lynne on December 6, 2010 at 6:05pm
Alisha...they tend to get mail the Friday before they start writing letters...in most cases...but I could be wrong...lol

Denise...your recruit may have been in processing days longer waiting for the division to fill up...check with someone else from that division to see if they have gotten the form letter. If they have gotten one, you know it has been mailed.

Lynne - YOU ROCK, GIRL!!!
Comment by Lynne on December 6, 2010 at 6:01pm
Okay y'all since the RTC guy and I previously bonded over another topic which got greatly out of hand about battlestation times I decided to call up "my old buddy". I was just glad he didn't say "you again". I pleaded my typical ignorance and in my best southern style (which takes a bit of doing since I was raised in North Dakota) asked if just might could clarify for me this issue about divisions 57 and 58 in ship 11. I explained that some of my mommas, wives and girlfriends might have to forego coats for PIR because they were going to paying big penalties X2 to the airlines and they may become snow statues walking from their cars to the Great Hall and wouldn't that be sad if their sailor had to thaw them out to hug them. I was pretty that wasn't covered in the official code of conduct. Well after he got done laughing, he put me on hold and verified that division 57 and 58 are graduating on 1/28. He also said he would call me in the morning after he spoke to the lovely RDCs to insure that the recruits write home to their mommas and honeys...lol!! Okie dokey...think that about covers it!! have a good night y'all!!
