Hi All.

Oh Blondie - you are a blessing

I SO NEEDED a laugh. Have to ask - does Static Guard work as will as hair spray?

Did you get the kids moved to Texas?

And YES, right with you would love a get away with hubby - ALONE !!!

this is short, I am doing well. knee replacement surgery was November 18th. I was already bending knee at 85% when I left hospital.  Had a slight set back though - when the staples came out - I had some bleeding and my doctor wanted NO bleeding. So knee was placed a brace as NOT to bend . Brace off now and I will be starting over with physical therapy. Thankfully, I have a cute guy PT - his name is Jake. Yes, I am motivated !

Chat later. Nap time  hugs

Hey - I have such a Low Gossip Tank - check in Navy Moms

Everyone take a potty break, you're gonna need it!

a couple of weeks/ a month ago(?), I noticed my Static Guard at work was running low. Put it on my shopping list. I usually bring my partial from home and keep the new one at home.  So today I remembered to grab my partial and put it in my work bag. Was in the bathroom fixing my hair when I grabbed the hair spray and proceeded to spray....looking in mirror.  I realized the cap was orange and the bottle blue. My hair spray is clear cap and purple bottle!!  Yep, I was spraying my hair with Static Guard!  Confused I looked at husband,  He deadpanned, No fly aways!  I ran to the kitchen nope can in bag is static guard also. hmm. got to work and looked bottle here is hair spray, no static guard in sight. HOW LONG have I been spraying my hair with static guard ?  No idea, could have been weeks or Months!

I think I've lost it. LOL

up date on my CRAZY life!

This Sunday we are having a Celebration of Life for my Niece. (finally).

Nov. 7th (my birthday) we had my Aunt's funeral.  So GOOD to see all my cousins that I grew up with, raised our kids together.... then drifted apart because everyone's kids moved away and gave us Grandkids...  My Dad is the only Elder we have left on either side of the family. My brother is next in line as oldest cousin. All I can say is, WOW. how did we get this old?

We are leaving here Tue. 22nd after work to start driving to Texas.  Ex sailor and granddaughter is really moving.  So, we're driving Tahlia to Missouri to be with her Dad for Thanksgiving, then driving with Daughter the rest of the way. Hoping to get there Thanksgiving night. Friday unload and unpack. Sat. flying back to Ohio and Daughter is flying to Missouri then flying back to Texas with Tahlia. I'm exhausted already!  We were gonna stay until Sunday, I even took Monday morning off work. But... Cost of flights doubled from Sat. to Sun. so we're coming home Sat. and spending the extra time with other daughter 's family.  :)

Then Hubby and I booked a get away for Christmas, we just NEED down time!

HI

Miss - you are so right!  Taking TIME for a vacation is REALLY important. It lets us regenerate as i call it. I need that. One certain days - I feel teh need to get pack clothes and get in the car and go somewhere fun. Now just where that is - ? But I so want to go.

And I think we all turn into our Moms . And maybe that's an honor of our moms. They must of taught us something wonderful for us to want to do the same.   Hugs Miss.

Blondie - after all these years - I finally got your code: " Got to Run".  It means I am working on the To Do List and adding more!

What a loving celebration . It had to be heart warming. And YES this was a perfect kick off to healing.

Weather here was perfect Indian Summer - well now tis damp and cold. Fingers crossed this passes and Halloween is a perfect costume wearing weather for trick or treating.

Sailor was here for second visit.  He was able to rent a room and is on the list for a room in the barracks. But he is back up his for his wife's daughter's graduation for navy Boot Camp!

And wee will drive in to Great Lakes area for a dinner with her.  She has to report back to teh barracks at ( PM - she flys out to A School in Florida. At least we will see her.

the starting November 1st are the appointments to get ready for knee surgery.  I came to a decision too, I am stepping down as secretary for the club.  I have done it for 10 or 11 years now.  I need to take time to heal. And be selfish and do some things I want to.

Well need to get.  The Laundry Fairy - she moved in.

Hugs

Blondie, so very sorry about your niece, my heart breaks for you and all of her family.   Lots of prayers and hugs..... What a wonderful weekend for your family.   That was so sweet and to think the Hubby did all of that.  Happy he pulled it off and  y'all were able to be together.  I know that started some of the healing.  Being with family is always a good thing.

T-Lynn, I think we are all getting there.   I find myself quoting my Mother many times a day.  She use to always say, "I just can't hold out to get as much done as I want to".  I would remind her that none of us can.  But I have turned into her, and it just aggravates me so bad.   I am dreading the time change, cause I for sure won't get anything done then.  We too have had some cold weather.   They predicted 25 last night, but thankfully they missed it.  It got to 35, and we did have some frost.   It is suppose to be back in the 80's by the weekend, with cool nights.

I am trying to catch up at work.  Hubby and I went went to Florida for a week and had a great time.   Wish I was back there now.  As the old saying goes, "when you play you pay". Sometimes I wonder if it is even worth taking off from work, but then I realize that yes it is very important.

Hope all is well.  Take care everyone!

Over the weekend we had a 40th wedding anniversary party. SIL and BIL renewed their vows.  Almost got canceled because of Heather's passing, she was their flower girl.  But her Mom said we're doing this, it was a surprise for my SIL and all her kids. BIL just told them they were taking family pictures. a TOTAL success!  He dropped to 1 knee in front of his kids and grandkids and purposed all over again and then brought them to the Church where we all were including original maid of honor and best man.  Lots of tears and celebration. We had a potluck at the farm and the weather was GREAT.  Heather's mom and brother came, all was good. I think the family NEEDED this.

Still no word when we will get Heather's body back for a funeral. :(

T-Lynn, I admitted a few years ago, I can't do as much as I once did.  I still make out my lists but if I get half of it marked off I consider it a good day. And on days I can't do any of it, I give myself Grace and Forgiveness.  Trying to take "me" days but.... maybe 1 day. WE need to take care of ourselves!

We've had frosts and freezes, sleet and hail but no snow spotted yet.  Our highs are mid-40's but they say this weekend 70!  Indian Summer?

Gotta run.

Hi All

Blondie, what events you and your family have been through. Gentle hugs.  Honest I have no words, except how my heart hurts for you and your family. And that soon only happy memories will be stored in your hearts.

What s with management these days. Not caring to go out and look or pick up those roses. Its like you have to scream in their ears to get any thing done.

Here just going day to day trying to finish task. I give up.  What ever gets done - is it. Not going to kill myself. I know one day , I will have things in order, sorted, and some stuff donated. Then pick just what I want to do ( dance shawls, weaving, etc) and that's it.

Will be decorating outside for Halloween, if its nice out. Hey, it was so cold on Monday and overcast too. And we had snow flurries! Not kidding. It didn't stay but what a tease.

Need to get along here.  Hugs all

Thanks for the Hugs and kind words. It was/is alot!

Heather was disconnected from life support yesterday at 2:00 with the family present.  Her body was harvested, then sent to an unknow destination (what is that all about?) for skin donation (I guess). First they told us they didn't know when we'd get the body back. Unacceptable! So late last night (after many phone calls) they said next Tue. but she would be cremated and we could have a funeral later in the week. What the heck?! Her poor Husband, Kids and Mom(Brother, Niece and Nephews let alone us aunts and uncles) How many good-byes can they take? How long? 2 WEEKS!  And we all had to return to work/school, even tho we feel like throwing up ....busting into tears... UGGG

Housing development had no knowledge of roses or greenery. So Daughter took them out and showed them. Yes, some were still there, why anyone would leave them there!  But daughter said there are still some there, the management didn't even take them away.  Yep, Mama Bear got on her phone and cave them a talking too. Then I called the policy and told them housing wasn't doing a dang thing.  Daughter said maintenance was out picking them up, with gloves on. Yeah what it they were laced with drugs and a kids picked it up? So feeling a lot better about her moving to Texas! (not really but that's what I'm telling myself.)  She flies to MO tonight for her ex's wedding, Tahlia is in the wedding.

SIL had no lasting effects of the food poisoning, just not eating chicken. LOL I get it!

Hey gotta go. just wanted to say Thanks and update you.

take care

Hi

Blondie - your SIL is right - your hugs and words heal. She needed you and you were there.  Like when you come here and listen to us in need. We feel your hugs.  Hoping you feel ours.

But gee wiz gf! Two Extremes events!  Lose of a family member and then the roses! Plus food poisoning. Your roller coaster ride has to valley out soon.  Hang in there - we here are right beside you.

Good news to share.  Sailor got to come home for a surprise visit and then stayed another 2 or three days !!!!  We did the important things - Apple Orchard, Beef a Roo cheddar fries, Mrs. Fisher's chips, and friends.  Then he called the base he is reporting too and good news there too.  Possible room available for him.  So things are working out.

Hubby's mom will be going to a nursing home for the rest of her life.  No home care is possible - too many medical needs.  And father n law - not sure what he wants to do.  But hubby has not been home after work all week. And it looks like this will continue for a while.  Just wish I could help him - but he says he is handling it.  I'll be here when he ask for help.

Other wise all good. Emma loves here her day care and Riker is really into Cub Scouting.

chat later  hugs

HEY - Roll Call !  check in and share  hugs
