thought I'd share this...

I heard from my girlfriend's daughter who is a Navy officer and physical therapist at the Walter Reed.  I was telling her about this site and how we receive updates from Blondie on Nick and that we all pray for him daily.  She said that she wanted to pick him to be on her case load but she was out the day they put  the PT consult in.  She checks on him daily anyways and says he is incredible and has made incredible recovery from where he's been.

Hi all!

This place sounds happy.  Good reports coming in - makes this day look great.  Have to share - the sky outside looks like it wants to fall in.  Not meaning rain or snow - I mean falling pieces of sky.  So with the first rounds set up by Blondie and all this good news - its a nice day :)

I agree with:

1. If not ready for Christmas , but have sailor home to hug - no worries - just enjoy.

2. Anti M - gentle healing hugs sending to you and glad hubby is home to care for you.

3.Ouch on torn muscle.  Glad he is resting and will have light duty

4.  Isn't funny that when a sailor gets home - hugging Navy Mom first is the #1, but going to favorite place to eat is right next to hugging? Mine too - when he was home - go and eat and see friends.

5. Well Moms tree is up and she is happy.  Good

6. Any one heard from Angs?

7. Anyone hear of Robins son is home?

8. Need to split - hoping mom will go for her blood test today and hubby is home . Now trying to figure out to what to with him

Wish all a good day  hugs

Katlanta, happy your son is home! Sound like yall are having a wonderful time.  Enjoy every minute of it.

Barbara, happy that your son is home also, and I know he is enjoying getting to visit with his sister and new nephew.  Don't you just love that they are close?   My daughter told me that she bombed a test while her brother was home, because she chose to spend time with him rather than study, and she said that she sacrificed a B for an A, but would do it again in a heartbeat!

Surprisingly, when my son was home, we didn't have the duffle bag explosion that we had the time before.  I think it was because of his gf, she tries to make him pick up after himself, and is doing a good job with that.  Better than what I have done.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments about my bathroom, we are enjoying it, after all of our hard work.   Kathy, I am really enjoying my ceiling fan.

Enjoy your afternoon with your buddy!  Hope your friend does well with her new knee.

AntiM, happy you are home and sounds like Larry is taking really good care of you!  You have a very good man!  Take care of yourself.

T-Lynn, we didn't make our ceiling fan, I found it at Lowe's and I just about ran across that store to find my hubby and show it to him.  I had been looking for one that would fit in there, and didn't think that anyone made on that would, so when I found this one I took off!  He looked at it and measured everything on it and said that it would.  Turns out that we had to do lots of extra work to install it, but it was worth it.  We both love that little baby fan!   I hope you are better, you probably need to have that test done!

Robin,  I sure hope your son gets everything worked out.  My son came home on his orders and no passport either.  I too, have been after him to take care of this.   Hopefully one day he will get this done.

Val, sounds like your are enjoying every minute!  Have lots of fun!

Blondie, thanks for the update on Heath...God is Good!  Will continue to pray for him and Nick.

I got home yesterday and pretty much climbed in bed.  It does hurt some, but not too bad.  I have painkillers but am going very easy on them.  Larry is here to cater to me, feeding me homemade soup, and mild food like applesauce.  I am having a few odd problems, but they should clear up soon.  My thinking is scattered, so I forget where Ive posted or not!

T, eye dandruff?  MyLarry gets flakes in his eyelashes.  His bacterial, and he uses baby shampoo on them.  The doc can order a special wash, but mostly he just uses a very gentle shampoo to clear them up.

Congrats to all of you who have their sailors home!!!  Let the celebrations begin!!

No duffle bag explosion here yet-he is still at my daughters house.  But that is ok.  They have always been close & he is getting to know his little nephew.  It is nice just to know he is "here" and be able to pick up the phone and call.  He is still adjusting to the time difference. Latest on the gf- they broke up.  He is bummed about that.  Hubby took him to a hockey game yesterday & they enjoyed that.  Today he is celebrating friends birthday.  Eventually, he will make his way here and that will be nice.  Oh and he hurt his arm at work, had an mri just before leave and tore a tendon or something and will be on light duty for 2-6 weeks, I think he said.  It is quite painful.        As for me,  I am sooo behind in getting ready for Christmas!  Just got the tree up today- it is real so can't really put it up too much in advance.  Haven't made cookies or finished shopping yet....time to panic?   Thanks all for the warm wishes.
MissMom- wow, love the bathroom!
Praying for Nick.  Hope all is well, Anti M. and eyes are better T-Lynn.
Happy for all with sailors home :)
