My son is a spook also. So after he gets there and I send a package if he opens it at work he can't take anything back home with him? Is that how I read that. When he was at school they couldn't bring anything into the compound.
That's an easy one to get around... let her know a surprise for at home package is coming, and have a slightly different way to put her name on it so she knows not to peek at the slip. Add or subtract her middle initial or something like that. She's a spook, she should know ways of doing stuff like this.
I learned not to read my customs slips when I got thins from my mom!
Japan is indeed a far kinder place to send packages than the sandbox, that's for sure.
In 12 years, I never had customs open a thing, not even the package my friend sent with salad dressing in it. She didn't wrap it securely, it was handed to me in a plastic trash bag!
Blondie, you mean that they will unwrap all the gifts at customs? He just got there a month ago. So, I know and he knows no one there yet. He is at the Misawa Air Force base. Gosh I hope he will be able to get the surprise!!
On Wednesday, T. Have to go get my teeth cleaned this afternoon.
Everyone I know who has had the knee surgery is glad of it, although, yes, the rehab is tough.
I hate terrorism and support all our heroes, but I have trouble with hate-filled messages. I hate hate, one might say. Because I feel it is my duty to love humans, even the lowest of the low, and those who are plain evil. Yes, I think proven terrorists deserve a swift death penalty, but never torture. But that's me.
Maggs- Praise this Lady in Canada! Wonder if my paper would print this? I am going to cope this - maybe I can get my son to repeat this message on the radio !
And I didn't realize - watching the Chip -n Dales could hurt my eyes. Oh well - I'll just have to hurt :)
I wrapped all my presents when sending Pam - glad you are too.
Miss - waiting.
thanks for the update on Nick. sending positive thoughts too Also - thanks for the candle and prayer Blondie
Knee replacement. My cousin has now had both knees and one of my hubby's friend's has had it done. Both stated - DOING rehab is the tough part, but once it is all healed - Yippe how they can do stuff without pain is wonderful. If you can have it done - go ahead.
Anti - M - isn't your surgery coming soon? I know it is in and out - but still want to keep tabs on you.
Hey everyone ! Val is now counting hours !!!!!
Anyone heard fro Kim?
Need to get - house cleaning today - yippee
hugs all
Thanks Mississippi Mom!!! Appreciate it. I'm gonna wrap them this morning and send them on their way!
Does anyone know anything about a knee replacement? I may need one. Doctor said that he will try to fix the damage. If not I need one. Surgery will be in jan. or feb. Wont know till 12-13 when nurse calla to set up. Won't be sure until he gets in there. Doctor says down time is between 3-6 months. Hopefully I will be better when sailor gets leave. We go out to breakfast at 6;30am. It's our alone time before everyone else gets up and wants to see him. Brandon hopes to get leave in may or june.
Pamela, I did wrap my son's gifts last year and this year, too. I also wrapped his birthday gifts, and as far as I know there was no problem with this.
