T-Lynn, my husband makes candles, so he can do custom colors for me. I wonder if the sailors on ships could use those little flameless candles? That would be nice.

I have a little game set which unfolds, no bigger than a paperback book.

cfsnowmom... ah, she hasn't earned her liberty? I got mine done through PSD in Japan, on base. She should ask if she can get one now, if not, get one once she hits Japan.

HI all :)
I'm finally back. My internet company - just had to update again. And yes I got kicked off for over 24 hours!!!!!! So I came here to get refreshed and to become a nice person again. Oh have you all been busy. I have not yet read the article you have mentioned, but I send my congratualtaions. Thank you to the Mom/Dad who came up with the idea of all of us toasting each other - same day - time and the candle too. Can we set a time please? Do we wish for a certain color of a candle? Yes to me - the color of a candle holds a meaning - blessing - a prayer. Example - Green = Health - Wealth - A Winner,/ Yellow = deep Friendship. / etc. I personally plan on lighting a few - one will be Yellow for the friends I have here. I have sent my son 5 boxes of snack foods and some games. I guess on the bigger ships board games would be great, but I have to find the smaller size one for my son's ship - It is REAL small Have a good day friends. TLynn

Passports are not required for the sailors. However, they can obtain civilian passports on their own and these are very handy if they need or choose to travel on their own. For example, if the ship is in Baharain and they need to fly home, they would very much need a passport. Good for ten years, what's not to love? I had one just in case. I'd recommend one for every parent too, in case you get the chance to visit, or there is an emergency.

The fleets change size and some ships get re-assigned from one fleet to another. Even the sailors can't easily keep track.

I vote we just go to Val's and eat dinner and WATCH the Macy's Parade on TV. All in favor say " I " All those who want to be in the parade - I'll be watching and eating. Hey, I just had my son's picture placed on the Wall of Honor at WalMart. And the peopel there really cared! Turns out Alex is the first one up! And the manager - Irma helped me. She wanted to learn what to do - she is new - so that she is ready for more pictures to go up! Who else has their sailor on the Wall of Honor? Talk later Tlynn PS Sandy you had the Kramer moment, but you motivated thters who are capable to be humble and human. Thank you. Navy Dad and Jim - you both just beat my turkey story. You dyed your feet?
