The message about deleting members is real. We are trying to get to all the active groups, but there are hundreds. If you are a part of another group, and the deleting members post is not there, please feel free, and do share!

The ad agency is working to delete members, and take care of other critical website issues. A group of us are moving our fingers as quickly as possible to let new members in, clean up some other things etc., it will take some time. If you look to the left of this page you will see new members incoming, something that hasn't happened since April.:)

Good things are coming!!!

Just saw the following message...not sure if it is accurate...so I'm posting, because I don't want to be deleted...I follow posts by way of email..

“Deleting inactive members - The ad agency that handles N4M is in the process of updating the site.  If you have not been active since 12/1/15 you will be deleted to make room for new members.  You will be able to re-join.  If you don't want to be deleted you will need to post something in any of your groups to activate your account.  They have already started deleting members.”

Chewy's mum - I asked my son and he said if he's shore-based, then he should check with the (Navy) post office on base. If he's ship-based, he can either ask his coworkers or the ship's post office.

NavyMum- Thank you :) that's really helpful information.

VirgoMom904 - I wrapped my son's - they are going to directly to our sailors via the mail so wrapping shouldn't be an issue. I think Monday should be fine for mailing for Christmas - my son in Okinawa said Dec 9th was the latest he suggested.

This is our 2nd Christmas without our Sailor - he was at basic last year for Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years so it's easier this year knowing we can send gifts and even phone him

Hello Navy Moms, I'm getting ready to ship out my daughters Christmas gifts to Yokosuka and I'm wondering if I can ship them out wrapped? This is her first Christmas away from home and it's gonna be hard on all of us. I'm shipping her stuff Monday, I'm wondering if that's enough time for Christmas arrival.

Every ship has a unique FPO.  Finding the address is simple, he just asks at work.  His LPO or chief would know, no need to go to the post office.  They all have the same address if they work together.  You can google the FPO, knowing his department or division is the tricky part.

Holiday mail takes a little extra time, so ship soon.

Freeze the cookies of they are the kind which can take it. Use a plastic container packed as full as you can get it, use wax paper between layers.  Or use a Pringles can.  A box which is tightly packed will have less damage.  Do not mix soaps or scented items with food.  Use socks as padding!

my sons is:

  his name

PSC ###  Box ####

FPO AP  96350-1500, so maybe he needs to find out his PSC and BOX #'s and you should be good to go?

Chewy's Mom - My son is Okinawa so I'm not sure on specifics for Yokosuka but he got his address from his sponsor before he even got there. I would assume the post office would be able to help  -I'll check with my son as he works in the post office and should know.

As for how long a package takes - I find if I mail on Saturday, he usually has it a week Tuesday or Wednesday (priority mail) coming from Florida so about 10 days? I know my son said to mail Christmas priority packages by Dec 9th.
