Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

So good to know he's coming home.

I have a friend who fell under a train in Innsbruck, we started a paypal account to get donations to bring her home. And I know another gal who was in a wreck in India, again, the artist group I'm with raised money for the medical flight. I always was with the military when I traveled, so the evacuation insurance never crossed my mind. It surely has now!

Also, if anyone has an American Express they can go to the AM EX travel office and they exchange the currency for a nominal fee or it might even be free because you are an AM EX member. In SO CAL, there are two AM EX travel-one in Costa Mesa across from South Coast Plaza and the other in Santa Ana near Main Place Mall.

I am seeing $1800 roundtrip on travelocity for new years time. That's to Philladelphia. I can pick him up in New York or Washington too. I'm not seeing much cheaper.

I heard from my son at 5:00 am today. What a great surprise. I haven't talked to him since the beginning of the summer. I kept him on the phone for an hour. He has his leave Christmas and asked me to search for airfare. Can anyone suggest a good website?

Okinawa isn't as cold as the rest of Japan, it is downright tropical.

Sometimes when a family has so much - even making a call for help is overwhelming. Jim by you calling - that will be the best caring gift of all. Thank you

Kathy, Here's a site to see news and pics of what the 7th fleet is up to:
http://www.c7f.navy.mil/
You can also go back in the archives or search for the GW to get an idea of what they do and where they go. After the Talisman Saber this summer they had a big BBQ and Olympics on the flight deck.
