My son felt in in Yokosuka, also. He said it wasn't too bad there.

The earthquakes do seem to "swarm".

Good - I emailed my son about getting that insurance. But I have not heard anything from him in a while - I think that ship of his is having that 4th inspection. Got to go - I have to keep an eye on the caterpillars - they are active in the afternoon and are they eating! Share later TLynn

Renter's insurance and earthquake insurance in Japan are very reasonable. I do recommend them, there's many good companies there.

Anita, thanks for the correction; I don't know why I'm stuck on 8 for the Richter. Probably from Osaka.

The typhoon has done some serious damage in China and Taiwan, but in my experience, the storms slow and turn before they hit Japan full on, especially Yokosuka.

GLad she only felt it and no damage. My cousins lived in San Franciso when that big one hit. He had stories. His apartment was not really damaged - only soaking wet. Teh quake was so powerful that it rocked all the water out of the pool into apartment. The shocker is that, his apartment was on the second floor. Now he was at work when it hit and he and his boss ran down the halls as the walls fell behind them. They nade it to teh door adn he said: " Just like in cartoon, you got out, turned around adn all was quiet - nothing moving and then the entire building fell down.: No onehurt - all got out. Small business. Signing off - speical movie night with hubby :) talk and share more tomorrow ladies - my ears are wating TLynn

Anit M - thank you. Now I know. With that in mine - I need to read up more. ANd I will respect your wish of not sharing the ghost story. But is there a website of Navy related Ghost stories? No words of any kind from my son. So I have nothing to share. And I don't know to happy or sad for your son Mark. You didn't share if he is interested in rocking and rolling with a shake :) Let us know. Oh - Mark - you asked us All Powerful Moms, guided by the All Knowing Anit M ( had to get you into this too ) not to talk about earthquakes. How about volcanic erruptions? Have a wonderful night :) TLynn
