Good Mopring all :)
Don't need to go to therapy - just come here and read and share is all one needs. Everyone's writing has a somethings that helps another. Thanks - received some knowledge from all. Very tired here - two storms ran through and too much water - again. No flooding of 3 ft in the basement thought :) ! But had a nice lake in the backyard. ( Sorry no fishing allowed ) And during the end of the second storm - a train derailed. Very bad - some cars carriying ethinol and they exploded and caught fire. One mile from our home. Several injuried If the wind was going in different directions - we would have had to evacuate. I'll share more details when I get more news. When things like this happen - my mother gets upset. My words can't comfort her. Is that becasue I am her baby? OK - I'm 54, but at times she will just tell me I don't know things and I wouldn't understand because I wasn't born yet. Have any of you expereinced this? Need to get off and call my Aunt in TN. When situations like this happen - I call my Aunt to call mom. Then Mom can have her gossiping session. It works - she is happier after that phone call. A Happy Weekend to all and a Wish to come true - This I send and hugs too. T-Lynn

Hi there Julie, I joined this group about 5 pages back. Do you know if there are any other FC or ET's over there with Kyle? From our group?

Kathleen,
I just read your hug - thanks. My mom would not let me be in with her to see the doctor for many years. And truthfully, she was very sharp in memory. But she would like to tell me - in her words what the doctor said. And then there were the times she KNEW better than the doctor. But when Alex left for Japan - she changed. In ways we are closer and she lets me help. It helps coming to this site too. Someone listens. Anyway - all is better :). Oh - my husband checked the web address I shared. To get the home page you only need this: www. c7f.navy.mil then go to the search box and type in your sailor's ship. Good Luck everyone T-Lynn

Welcome - I just hope I read it correctly. My husband will home soon and I will ask him to make sure it is correct. Have not heard from my son - must be moving into the new room and making sure that all goes with that flat screen TV.
Sending everyone a hug. And positive thoughts for our sailors to be safe. Take care T-Lynn

Thank you Kathleen!
Being my mother's care taker - at times I could just pull my hair out. She gets stubborn at times. But this latest problem really has changed her. She LETS me help her with her meds now. She knows the doctors TELLS me what was said and I KNOW what is to be done. I still let her do things for herself - even washing the dishes. She really loves doing dishes. But I am there if needed. I know this will not sound nice, but I feel this last stroke made the light bulb turn on in her head - that I am here to assist her - not take over. Yes, when the time comes I have POA. I hope that web address I shared is correct. ANd you too can trace your sons's ship. Just ready those newsletters gave me some comfort - I knew where my son was/had been - even though I did not hear from him. Have to leave for her appointment. Chat later - thanks for the hugs - I needed them :) T-Lynn

Good Morning :)
Thanks for the information. I HAVE to look into this. Julie, my husband is more courages than I am - he will go internet searching. ( I'm a coward after getting a Hack Tool virus once) But he found a site about the US 7th Fleet. It is offical news letters from the ships. It was like being able to keep tabs - where our son's ship was or more likely - where they had been. If I am reading the site address correctly it is: www.c7f.navy.mil/news Hope this is correct. Need to get ready to take my mother to her physical therapy. So proud of her - she is doing very well. She had a small stroke earlier this month. I keep telling her she has to do her PTs to keep up with her sailor grandson. Have a good day everyone! T-Lynn

Staci and Sharon,
Thanks for sharing - I am still smiling. A grill and a 40 inch flat screen TV - and they made the right decision in purchasing these. Please - keep us posted on the next Right Decision of Purchase. My son shared in his last conversation, he is being moved down the hall to another room - now with a room mate. But that's ok - the room mate has a big flat screen TV too. So he was told he didn't need to bring along his small 27 inch TV. Guess it will clash with the new decor. Please share about the site - Adopt a Sailor. Have a good ladies. talk later - T-Lynn

Hey KiM,
Welcome. This is the place to be with question, concerns or just needing to bend someone's ear. And we all send hugs. You should be hearing soon from Moms with sailors on the Blue Ridge. My son is stationed in Sesabo. Good Luck to your sailor and hope he has a wonderful experience.

Robyn, if your son looks on his orders, there will be a contact telephone number to his new command. Well, there is supposed to be a contact number. Keeping in mind the 13 hour time difference, he should call and touch base about the dates of the flight. The command gets notice of travel orders, so someone on the ship is aware of the situation. He should be just fine.
