Whoohoo Blondie!   Sounds like a fun weekend with lots of rest and relaxation!   I am so proud of you.

Now you need another one just like to recoup from this week at work. LOL!  Sometime I feel it is not worth taking off, cause you sure pay for it when you get back.   But we can't work all of the time.

I hope you have another great weekend, and slow down every chance you get!

Today is my half day, and I am going fishing with my hubs and my son.   They are suppose to have to boat hooked up and everything ready for me when I get home.

I'm at work (of course I am)  and can't connect to my phone, will try to figure pictures out at lunch (if I get one) or tonight(if not too tired) We've been swamped since taking Friday off and we're closed this sat. because it's my scheduled weekend with the kids!  So I've been working 7:30-6:30 with maybe a half hour lunch but taking half day friday off meeting up with our Financial Advisor and then 2 of the kids are meeting us for supper and then heading to Amanda's for weekend. Paradise!!

Last weekend started with a fancy mediterranean lunch one of those small plate deals with paired drinks. Checked in and enjoyed our whole weekend. no windows, nice and dark, dimmers on all the lights, oils for the hot tub, shower had the stone floor a little tricky for me but loved the feel on my feet.  Dial 0 and we could have anything. they brought us a cheese and meat tray with nuts, olives, fruit... @ 9pm they brought us coffee and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!  when we got up in morning dialed 0 again they brought us muffins, danish and  mimosa and coffee!  We were in the hot tub 3 times in less then 24 hours and slept great!  No pain!  On our way back home stopped to see Jeremy (and Rhyen)  who got married 2 years ago and has a baby about the age of Lillianna that we hadn't met yet, only by Video chat. and pictures every day. Rhyen is 11 and taller then us both (5'10). Bishop (new baby) came right to us and back and forth couldn't get enuff!  We spent 2 hours with them, new wife and step daughter wasn't home but we couldn't wait still a drive ahead of us and Hubby's sister coming for supper!  Had baked Chicken and broccoli/cauliflower soup, talked about DC trip... WONDERFUL weekend.

So as you can see I AM taking care of me!  :)

Kim, Doing the Happy Dance with you Rhode Island!!!! AND DIL doing well. Double dance LOL

Miss, our girls did not play well and lost  but what an experience for them.

T-Lynn, Another Sailor!!!

I've been trying to do better with me first but really not in my Nature. I'm a Caregiver not taker but learning (slowly). I LOVE the Blondie Rule, we shall see how that goes. Although if you ask my Boss she'd say I go too much. This from a women who's 21 & 19 year old's still live with her! Although with this last trip, May and June (babysitting my 2grands) coming up I feel Luxurious.  This past year and a half has taken it's tow with the dissolution, all the moves and mental/emotional/physical behaviors we've had to deal with....

Trying to get Hubby and my life back on track.  So much to look forward too, not looking back. Thank goodness I have you ladies watching my back!  Much appreciated. :)

HI !!!!!!

A second honeymoon for Blondie !!! Oh I got chills reading the news !  And I really feel it - that it would be an awesome time. YES - take pictures - but have fun.  And you said the best thing ever - You have to take care you first.   Gee - ladies how long did it take for us all to see that it writing from Blondie? ! Blondie - do this - I have to take of me First every 3 months!

Hey - I think I found a new saying for us - Blondie's Rule

YOU have to take care of yourself first! Its done its in writing.

And good luck to your Girls Basket Ball team.

Miss - is your hubby going to town. His energy level must be on high drive. So glad you told him - that he is NOT the Six Million Dollar Man.  Tell him to save some of that energy for a second honeymoon! You both need to celebrate all that remodeling he is doing and that his remodeling (the knees) went to so well. Trip time!

KIm !!!! I have thought of you for the last two nights. How wonderful for your DIL - so glad she is doing ok and her hair is coming back in.  I hope their trip to Japan will be fun and easy.  Mexico!  How exciting !  The weather should be great.  And I have a feeling the one you think is going to stay put - well  - you know that travel bug is contagious. Congrats on Rhode Island !!! I am so happy - only 5 hours away.

Yes, back to Japan. Sorry, I have no idea where - yes, he did say where - but my gray hair has gotten deeper. So when I hear from him - I will give him the Navy Mom 200 questions and get back here to share.  The only news I do have - his wife's daughter will be graduating in May - have her birthday too and she did some researching. Military career researching - Guess what ? She decided to join the Navy! Her plans to go to Boot camp in September. sorry - that's all I got.

Weather here is nice - last two days 67 and 70. I have had teh grandkids outside in teh backyard on their swing set playing.  Knock on wood - it suppose to stay this way.

Well, its late  - I have to take my grandson to an early appointment tomorrow morning.  And I wish you all a

Happy St. Patrick's Day  hugs

Blondie that trip to Washington sounds great.  Take lots of pictures.  You are busy as always.

TLynn, those grandkids keep you young.  So excited for your sailor.  Let us know where he ends up.  My sailor is taking his family to Japan probably Christmas.  It has been tough for his wife with covid and cancer.  I am happy for them but my youngest son informed my they are going to Mexico this year to be with her family.  I have 1 son left that lives 9 doors down.  He is staying put.

Miss, I am so glad hubby is doing well.  Both knees!

My News.  My dil is finished her cancer treatments and hair is growing nicely.  My sons HUMS orders are officially over and he had to pick from 'hot orders' for his shore duty.  We figured he would end up in Chicago but ....  He is going to Rhode Island teaching at OCS.  The same time zone, 5 hours drive or an easy Amtrak ride.

Yay Blondie!  I hope your weekend is way above your expectations!  I look forward to hearing how great it was.   Go, enjoy, and get some rest!!!!!

Good luck to your girls basketball team at State!  We have 2 high schools in our County, one in the North and one in the South .  Both of our schools girls high school basketball teams went to State and played for the championship.  Unfortunately neither one won, but that is okay.   Belmont (South) goes almost every year.  They were State Champions last year.   Tishomingo County (North), were there for the first time since 1998.  So it was a big deal for these girls!  We were proud of both teams.

Our pretty weather came to end, but I sure enjoyed it while it lasted.   We have snow in the forecast for the weekend, but I sure hope they are wrong and we miss it .  It is suppose to be really cold, down to 23!  The high for Friday is 72 then fall to 23, we will be in thermal shock!

T-Lynn, Japan again!  How Exciting!! Yoko(?) something? that's where my daughter was. You know my memory!   Joe taught for 3 years in VA Beach wasn't as easy as you'd think. LOL  Of course you get out of it what you put into it.  Yes familiar with Navy time, NOT a fan.

Miss, sounds like Hubby is doing Fantastic, Good for him!  But you're correct slow and easy. a Month!  How time flies.  Glad you had some Fun time together.

I'm SO Jealous of you. LOL  We're still having ice/snow then rain and flooding and then ice/snow....every 2 days it changes. And Windy, Very Cold and Damp.  I'd love to think we could get in the yard or garden. Tree limbs down from ice storm, 1 of our Big Pines (old Christmas tree). so Lots of work just have to wait on Mother Nature and Father Time to agree on something.

I'm leaving Cindy alone for the 1st time Saturday (open-close).  We are getting out of town!  A little romantic get-away since our 40th anniversary was ruined.  Hoping I don't regret it but sometimes you have to take care of yourself.  Fireplace, in suite hot tub, our own heated swimming pool and sauna too! Private garage...(Belamere Suites)

Our local school girls basketball team is going to State.  So office closed Friday,(I'll work half a day with massage therapist.)  Which translates to Busy next couple of days!  They're waiting on me to open the door. So good-bye for now.

Blondie, this is absolutely great news!  I know this will be so special to all of the family, but especially to your husband.   I too, had chills when I was reading your post.   Thank you for taking the time to share this with us.

T-Lynn, please keep us posted on your Sailor.   Sounds like he is excited!

Not much going on with me, and I am good with that.   We had a beautiful weekend and I worked some in my yard, so that always makes me very happy.  We are back to cold and rain today, and suppose to be cooler all week.

Hubby is still doing really good with his knees.  We rode our bikes this weekend and also walked.  It has been a month today.  He also worked on our deck this weekend.  He is ready to get that completed.   I have to remind him that he got 2 new knees, but he is not the Six Million Dollar man! LOL!
