Hubby was home, so on Sunday we took off and drove the old Pony Express Trail in the Utah desert.  It is unpaved, but pretty well graded, so even though we had the pickup, the car would have made most of it.  At one point, it seemed like we were the only people out there, and we may have been.

Yesterday he discovered the dishwasher has been leaking under the unit, and went into the floor/basement ceiling.  So he had to take care of that.  No dishwasher for a couple weeks while the floor dries.  I got a good one on clearance at Lowe's and they will hold it until we are ready for it.  We like the military discount they offer!

Also, house cleaning, covering up the swamp cooler on the roof, flu shots, groceries, a dental appointment for him,  and our monthly couples massage.  Chili verde porkchops in the slowcooker with cornbread stuffing on the side for supper, yum!

My husband is a better housekeeper than I am, and he often cooks when he is home.  He even does laundry properly,  He says when he was single and had an apartment, that girls would think he was cheating because they could not believe a single man could keep a place so nice and clean.

Great laugh Blondie.

Oh Blondie, this is so funny!  I am going to print this and put it on my fridge!  I have been telling my hubby for years that in my next life, I am coming back as a MAN!  He just laughs.  I told him that last night when he let me know there was no more toilet paper in the bathroom, that he knows where I store the packs of toilet paper and he could walk to the closet and get a pack and put a roll on the holder, and put the rest in the drawer.  He was laying in the bed grinning, and said, "I just am not good at that."! LOL!  I have told him for years that he has it made.

I'm back:)  Took Forever to get needed documents and pics off old computer as I am terrible at backing things up and it took about 45 min each time to even be able to log in!
Got to Skype with sailor this weekend-we could see him, but he could not see us as the webcam will not work with windows 8 ( absolutely Hate windows 8, it is Such a pain!). But got to see virtual tour of their new apt.  Their stuff finally all arrived from Japan.  Sailor looks so much more rested, so far he has not had the constant shift changes,  so he actually has a regular sleep schedule.
Welcome new moms!:)
T-lynn-so exciting!  Love the announcement!
Kim-he will Love the mug!  Great idea!
Joshmom-love the witch fun!  You ladies rock!
Blondie, sorry for your loss, even if it was a blessing.  Love the dress!  The cottage sounds wonderful!
Maggs-isn't it amazing how much stuff you can transport in a minivan?  (moms can make anything fit :))

Hello Everyone,

I am new here but have been a Navy Mom since my daughter joined in 2010.  My son landed in Yokosuka in early Sept.  He is loving Japan.  I look forward to getting to know all of you through my sons adventure.
