These 10 and 11 hour days are Killing me!  I'm too old for this.

I did it again, was in a hurry and sprayed my hair with static guard instead of hair spray!  At home I keep them in different places but here at work I only have the 1 place :(

My brain just turned on, putting hair spray in bathroom under sink!

Hope Everyone is busy having Fun.  Have a Great weekend!

Wow!  So glad it has a Happy Ending!

Lilianna turned2!  Where did the time go?!  We went down last Thur. June 1st (her actual birthday) and stayed 4 days. We put together a outside little tike play house., blew up a new pool with slide and toss games, so many attachments!  Got out her water table and filled the family pool. We were  Very Busy :)  Took her to her 2 year check up and took JoeJoe (Joseph) shopping.  We went somewhere else also hmm can't remember. LOL   Geez, it's all a blur...I remember we took 1 car so Papa climbed in the 3rd row seating by way of hatch.... We grilled out chicken and corn on the cob, hamburgers another night.... big breakfasts...  Had little kids party Sat. afternoon.  Sat. night I took my daughter out, just the 2 of us!!!  Got our nails done and scheduled another appointment for 3 weeks. for medi/pedis Why not?!  Sunday afternoon came home to dogs, yard, garden and laundry.  Real life!

Mon. I went back to work and dealt with 104 pts/clients!  Each twice, checking them in and checking them out, taking money, rescheduling... Besides answering phones, selling products, posting mail and direct deposits.... I ended up working 11 hours.  I remembered to text hubby and tell him I would be late and supper menu so supper was in the oven when I got.  home. A couple of shots of Tequila, watered plants and vegged out on the couch.  Back to work this morning, I got a lunch today and it's considerably  slower this afternoon, I only have 2 practitioners today instead of 3.

Starting my count down to VA Beach!!!

part 3

Well here we are to now. Living moment by moment .

I can share two funnies.

When i first saw him after he had been vented - they told me to talk to him - that he would be able to hear me.   I knew his subconscious could.  So i told him i loved him and that this little episode he is doing is NOT getting him out of our 45th Wedding Anniversary Party. He now says he doesn't remember getting married! Hey, I believe  the loss of 3 weeks  but not the last 45 years !

And one of the days he came awake for a few minutes, we had a fight!  For real - you can even ask teh nurse.  He wanted me to release his straps to she could take out he vent , I told him no and that I loved him. then asked him to marry me again. He shook his head no and signaled with his thumbs for me to leave. It took 3 more days before he said he would marry me again.  He was in  and out of being awake, so we were told to try to keep him thinking.  He stills says he doesn't remember getting married.

And he STILL NOT out of having the party !!!

thank you for listening.  And teh hugs - I felt them  hugs back.

part 2

That same evening -Alex arrived. navy and Red Cross got him home.

Next day - more test - all saying he was healthy - but now stomach and kidneys lungs failing.  All we could do was watch . but that evening Riker - grandson became ill and the doctor was in the room when that phone call came in to daughter in law.  That doctor overheard adn told her - get you son here to this ER NOW! riker came in - fever and results - Strep A.  Ok antibotics for him.  But the results os Riker's test were sent up to Victor's doctor - tested Vic and FOUND Vic had strep A in his skin.  One area of his stomach looked a huge rash/hive - the size of a soccer ball. And the skin had spilled , so fluids were seeping out.  Finally one strong - CORRECT antibiotic could be given to help fight the infection.

After 4 days - finally they found out what Vic had ingested a parasite - Giardia.  Now the correct antibiotic could be given.

His started turning around in 12 hours.  And now he was becoming awake.  But on Friday April 28thth - the vent was coming out when Vic ;s right lung expelled a huge solid mass of mucus - that blocked his vent . NO AIR and Vic had his lunged suctioned out as he was awake. the doctor put him back into a deep sleep.

The next few weeks I will try to condense. I am feeling shakey now as I type.

Finally on Monday May 1st - vent out. Still all the antibiotics. But awake.  but now he had an infection in his lungs and pneumonia.   By the end of the week - now bladder infection and a bacteria in the bladder.  So more antibiotics.  Only thing gone was the Strep A and the Giardia . And the next week, they found a spot on his pancreas - his hemoglobin was dropping and he had to have a blood transfusion.

AFTER ALL THAT - he got better. And he was released on May 13th and home.  Best Mother's Day present ever!!!!

i said it was a soap opera or as my dil said: "this is an episode out of the TV series House".

Still at this time - no we have no clue where he got this parasite. Or how the Strep A got into the skin.

Vic is having physical and occupational therapy..  8 weeks to get his strength back. Maybe he can go back to work - not sure. But we will make it.  The thing is - he is here with me.

He has no memory of those 3 weeks. I answer all his questions. He is starting to want to see  his friends.

Blondie a Freeze?   Did you any newly planted pants die? How odd of weather.

Hi Well, I made Me Time so I could get back on her and share the REAL to Life Soap opera I had.   Right now, my hubby is doing better.  Getting stronger, but its going to take time and I have to remind him of that. He missed shooting at the club, but I am hopeful by August he can start up again. The black powder rifle he uses is heavy.  good thing - he can use it for physical therapy - lifting and holding in place until the flint lights the powder.

Vic had no symptoms until the day he went into the ER.

April 23rd.  Vic had been to a Cub Scout "Clean Up the Bike Path".  Its an Annual Spring Community Service Project of pack 418.  So Vic and Riker were buddies.  they both came home - tired and hungry. Vic ate the left over meal from Friday evening.  He then told me he was tired and needed a nap - 1 PM.

By 2 PM the throwing up started every 20 to 25 minutes. This continued every hour until around 9:3- PM - Vic said: "I think I need to get checked." My reaction - had been arguing with him since 3 PM to go to get checked-  was Really?" My daughter in law and i took him - we were on our way to a downtown hospital, but Vic said: " Please get me to the nearest hospital, I can't take this ride."  Those were his last words that made any since - until May 1st.

He spiked a a fever of 102 and that ER doctor i credit with saving him.  He know Vic had an infection, but what?  But he did start him on a wide based antibiotic. And fluids - Vic was dehydrated from all the throwing up. But my hubby started not behaving like himself - argued, tried to get off the bed and get out .  Finally at 4 AM he was admitted to the ICU.  Now his heart was not beating right and too fast. Blood pressure would drop and rise. A breathing was getting hard.

That evening - He was having more trouble breathing and his heart beat was faster, now his stomach was so swollen he looked 9 months pregnant and he got so made he tried to get out of bed .

then April 25th, that early morning the hospital called - have to vent him. Do I give permission? yes  10 minutes later my daughter in law is screaming that the hospital called again - GET there code blue.  During that 10 minutes - vic had thrown up water from his stomach as they tried to vent him. They had to pump 3 litters from his stomach - but now he had inhaled the fluids into his lungs and his heart stopped. 10 minutes of CPR.

When I saw him next he was in a coma and his body so swollen and so many IVs. And he had 7 doctors. His organs were shutting down. He had so many blood, urine, stomach cultures and blood test and all results coming back saying he was as healthy as a horse.

WE had a Freeze last night!  It's the middle of May!

Mother Nature, take your meds.!

Comment by T-Lynn on May 16, 2023 at 7:28pm

I knew I could be here and feel the hugs. Thank you

I hope to be back on soon. I need time to get his physical and occupational therapies set up. And still blood tests to keep an eye on his hemoglobin.

I still can't believe what happened.  It is right out of a soap opera. At least like the TV series - it had a happy ending.

Wish all a good  week  hugs
