Love it DREW7062
He sounds just like your son. I think they are good kids trying to show us how grown up they are. I told him he will understand what I am talking about when he has his own kids. This week he is out camping with the Boy Scouts from the base. He was rally excited about getting to teach them archery. He is going to be a great dad one day.

2tymenavymom-
Oh I forgot another one of my favorite verses in the bible is Proverbs 22.6

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

2tymenavymom- Yeah I know what you mean... These kids are a trip lol....when they're little they're LITTLE on your heart, when they get big they're BIG on your heart. Whadda ya do...lol I can count on 1 hand how often my son has called me. But as the young folks say imma keep it moving. Tomorrow going to a movie and dinner and try not to think of that child I labored 19 hours and gave birth to!!!!!!! Not to mention all his baseball games I went to....oh I forgot when he was sick who was there need I go on....laughing...

I do not talk to my son nearly as much as I would like to either.  He told his grandparents last week he feels bad and should call him momma more often.  Ha Ha grandparent guilt trip.  Of course he told them he is trying to volunteer to deploy because he is bored doing the same thing in the hospital.  I think he didn't want to tell me because he doesn't want me to worry.  Little does he know I worry anyway.

Oh well,

Hi all. I don't post much, but read lots. My sailor is in Yokosuka - very independent. Wouldn't give me the FPO. Found it myself - he was happy to receive our birthday cards. I have to get used to his being in charge of his life even tho I still think of him at times as my little boy. but every so often I remind he still has to stay in touch. ;) he did call on moms day. He's currently underway - flying the flag. I'd prefer his feet on ground but it is what it is. God is in control.

Welcome JENJEN1968. I have been a member of the Navyformoms website since my son was in boot camp.  The amount of information and support with this website was AWESOME!!! Don't ever hesitate to ask a question (no matter how small or strange).  Odds are someone else has the same question.

Welcome CarolinaRose. FB Messenger has been the best/easiest way to stay in contact with my son - he's been in Okinawa since Apr.

Hello everyone

Just joined this group. Daughter left for yokosuka Tuesday of this week. The only contact from her has been on Facebook messager. Does not have an address for me as of yet. Missing her like crazy.
