Hi

Jeannie. As Robin shared - if he has a cell phone plan here in the states - NO - they will not work. Don't let his cel phone company tell him they have an international plan that works every where - NOT IN JAPAN they don't. When he gets there he can ask his fellow shipmates about a good Japan phone and plan.

Also, does he have his pass port? Not just the military one. Yes, he will need to have that pass port -so help him get one.

Has he made contact with his sponsor? He should have been given a sponsor and that sponsor's phone number. Usually, the sponsor will meet the incoming sailor. Sometimes it does not happen, but usually they do.

Hey Kim - Is it the D.O.D. that a new arrived sailor checks in at the Japan Airport? Kim can explain that better.

And jeannie, be ready NOT to hear from your sailor for a while. HE will be attending classes and getting settled in. But I promise - he WILL make contact.

So Welcome aboard this wonderful roller coaster ride. Keep jumping into the water - that means sharing about yourself and sailor and remember - we all here have been through  this and we do listen - hugs.

I'm beat. Been buys babysitting Riker and he is getting to be a little spit fire. Besides cutting teeth - he is now fighting naps. Plus today hubby and I went  out to the gun club to do some routine mowing - fixing the shooting boards - cleaning the club house and the outhouses. Guess who got outhouse duty? Its ok, I just had to sweep them out. And I cleaned teh club house. All I want to do is rest on teh sofa now.

But can't - Riker knows we are home and he wants grandparent time. Plus, I have to get ready for my gf from Maryland visit tomorrow.

Need to get - laundry fairy is visiting again. Hugs all

Mine got there last month. His iphone would not work, except he could text and facebook when in WiFi range. There seemed to be many areas that had WiFi. He also called a couple of times using a Wifi free App that someone there told him about. But he was only there 3 or 4 days before his ship was underway...

Several of you have asked about Navy Seal garden stone. I will try to find out from my neighbor/Navy Mom where they got it.

Hi

I MADE me Time so I could get on and collect gossip !! And what GOSSIP I found !!! 5 pages worth !!! Yippee - I took notes

Maggs !!!! I need to make you a Mojo bag for protection. You - your loving family and then dealing with Angel going weird 9 NOT wanting her SPOT !! ) well - you had enough. Sending you positive vibes and gentle hugs. You and family in Scotland doing better?

Conrats Anti M . Oh I do hope they will allow you to share a pic. Hey - we will have to call you Great Anti M now.

Mtnmom - great picture and looks like you had fun, while doing a heartfelt service. I like the shirts. Where do you get hose banner shirts?

Hugs Joshmom. Did you have fun camping?

Birdjie, you have had a roller coaster ride and half. I have my fingers crossed that your sailor will be able to have a longer leave when he comes in August. Gentle hugs.

Welocme Aboard TerriNavyMom !!!! Get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions. That is the best way to explain your time as a  Navy Mom. And honest , it stays that way ! It is a 13 hour difference, but your sailor will call when ever they feel or need too. So get ready for some EARLY calls. And too - you will get to recognize her phone call ring. Honest.

Miss - you have some hair raising events. Time for you to relax girlfriend. How are things now?

Love the stone/seal Cheryl. Where can I get one?

Kim - You look so beautiful and your sailor so proud. Congrats to him and how wonderful to be a part of his ceremony. But I was laughing out loud when you shared what the Admiral said to you. Isn't it great for humor to be a part of a special ceremony. by the way - you son should make A++++++... in his class. He has an ace in his pocket or should I say in teh kitchen cooking!

Blondie - LOL on the floor rolling!!! How precious is that Conor. You HAVE to write this story down for keeps!!! I could just see him running to that window and then count to 7, I am on the floor again. The pictures are beautiful. What fun decor. I am stealing some of your ideas. I still say - when and IF my sailor ever finds a NICE GIRL - you are planning the wedding. Hye- need one more pic - the Bride showing her boots!

Hey Kim, do you think you can speak with that Admiral and put in some good words for Blondie Jr to stay active with a state side job? Just asking.

As I said I took notes this time. Now I hope I read them right. hugs all
