Good morning Ladies!

Welcome, Vicky!  Happy that your son is excited about Japan!  I hope he loves it and is very happy there.  My son spent 18 months there and loved it.  I understand you being nervous.  I was too, but it helped knowing my son was happy about going.  I will keep you both in my prayers. Lots of hugs to you.

Joshmom- A big HOOYAH to your son coming back stateside!   I know you are excited to have him a little closer to home.

DramaSoul, prayers for you!  Bless your heart.  Hang in there girl!

Blondie, thinking of you and your sweet daughter with her special day coming up.  Hope all goes well and that  you all enjoy this blessed event!

Kim, and T-Lynn.... you both have beautiful grand babies!  I love the pictures you both share.

We have been really busy at our house the past couple of months.  I have been reading, and trying to keep up, but not posting.   Our daughter graduated from Mississippi State University last Friday, and we had a big celebration for her at our house on Saturday.  Then we had a big day with my Mom for Mother's Day.  After all of that I was totally exhausted.  My hubby and I have tackled quite a few projects "sprucing up the place" before her graduation.   I don't know why we feel like we have to do this.  By the time you 40 + people there, you don't care whether it was spruced up or not! LOL!   She and 3 of her friends went to Harry Potter World this past weekend and she is on her way back home now.   If you think of her,  please whisper a prayer for safe travels and also for a job!  LOL!   She has had some really good interviews and is getting pretty antsy wanting to hear something.   I really hope she hears something this week.

My son (Sailor) and his wife are both doing well.  He has made the adjustment to civilian life.  He has got his 1st semester under his belt and is ready to continue on.  He is working with a friend who has a lawn care business.  He stays pretty busy. The friend was really good to work around his school schedule so that is a blessing.

Blessings to each and every one of you!

Hello to all the new moms on here.  So nice to see new faces and also to see some familiar ones come back.

Hugs Birdiejr!  Hope you're having a brighter day

DramaSoul, hugs to you too!  You can handle this - you're strong!

Blondie - hope all goes well this week.  Safe travels and looking forward to hearing all about the wedding and of course pictures!

Well today my sailor departed Japan for the last time.  His journey home has begun....home to the states anyway.  He's had a very positive experience in Japan and has enjoyed his time there but he's excited to start the next chapter in his Navy career.  Of course I'm over the top excited to be getting him back stateside.  The sailors spelled out "sayonara" in Japanese on the flight deck of the carrier as they left out.  I thought that was cool and a nice gesture to the Japanese people.

Have a beautiful day ladies and a fantastic week!  Keep strong!!!

Maggs...love the lawn mower. My daughter and SIL live on his parents 3 acres and there are sheep who are there simply to keep the grass from over-growing. They also raise a bovine for eating purposes (grazing/grassfed), chickens for eggs, garden, turkeys for Thanksgiving.

Blondie...YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!

I am still recovering from a bout with pneumonia and asthma that knocked me on my butt. Energy slowly coming back. I did attempt an audition but I shouldn't have because of the energy level being so low. Get to see the pulmonologist next week for the final release so I can start to workout. I am now on a rigid dietary protocol for autoimmune diseases (Hashimoto's is the one I have to contend with). I have to admit, it is helping me to feel better. Doing a lot of food prep since there are many things I cannot have. Reading labels very carefully. Dehydrating sweet potatoes and zucchini for crunchy snacks. I really miss my coffee!!! She said I can add it back at the end of 6 months but it has to be slowly so I know how my body responds. There will be lots of things to slowly add back one week at a time but not until I have completed 6 months of this protocol. 1 month down....5 ro go!!!

Took Tupac (for those who don't know, he is a black cat I inherited from one of my son's former girlfriends) for his annual wellness exam. HE HAD TO BE SEDATED!!! Oh my...did he live up to his name...growling and cranky...a regular gangsta kitty. Shelby (the other adorable cat I inherited from another of my son's former girlfriends) kept her distance and arched her back and hissed the first couple of days he was back from the vet. Finally they are getting back to their normal routine. Tupac weighed in at just under 15 lbs ("He's not fat, he's just big boned" said the vet.) Shelby is a beautiful gray tabby who is half his size and has a penchant for chewing power cords (I am on my 5th for the laptop).

Sailor is doing well. He remembered Mother's Day with a lovely bouquet that still looks good.

I have been reading posts and just not posting. You guys just make my day.

To all who are in need of healing, may you have a complete healing of body, heart mind and spirit!

Thx for the encouragement everyone. I send a box about once a month but w all the wedding prep it makes his absence more noticeable. Anyway, I'll get thru it bc that's what we Navy Moms do. Hooyah!!

Birdiejr..sending you hugs. Hang in there. We are all in the same space. I wear his sweatshirt or private message him on facebook or write a letter and include an iTunes gift card. You can keep busy by putting together a care package for him with his favorite things. Again sending you Navy Strong Extra Big Hugs!

Moment of truth - I am missing my sailor. We just passed the two year mark since I have seen him and my heart hurts. Sigh...
