Kim, Your comment about your sailor's lack of communication helps me since I have little contact w my own boy. How old is he? What's he applying for?
Comment by Kim on May 15, 2015 at 10:35pm

Blondie, I guess I am an exception but, I find him a turn off.  Seems too conceited to me.  I like to think that I am prettier than the guy.....lol.

Great to hear from you Drama Soul and all the new moms.

Blondie, Is the wedding Norfolk or Washington?

Sailor is phoning me every other day asking for my advice about the package he is trying to apply to.

I went through years of little communication with him.  It took 3 months for him to email me when he first went to Japan.  This is my dream, but........I am exhausted searching things for him.  Don't get me wrong.....I am NOT complaining.

Maggs, I am soooo there!!

T-Lynn, Good morning to you!!

Hi to all you other moms. I'm glad to be back. Just spent two days with my youngest daughter and had a blast doing wedding - y (is that a word) stuff. Good times. I miss my sailor. Anyone else in Atsugi??

Good Morning

Welcome Aboard New Moms !  You have just started your roller coaster ride of emotions. Yes, there will be many ups and downs, but your not alone - we all are right beside you. So keep jumping in the water ( sharing about you, family and sailor) - ask all the questions you wish and remember to enjoy the ride. Hugs. Oh - quick question - do your sailors have their passports? NOT military - good ole regular passports. IF  not, help them get one and yes they do need it. And if they just got to Sasebo ( my sailor was stationed their too and he loved it) get ready to send Long Johns. they will need them.

thanks Maggs for explaining EOD. My sailor is NOW in that area in CA. Loves it.

Anti M - hows the hand?

OH Kim - what a cutie. Got the giggles when looking at the pic of baby meeting uncle. They both have the expression of:" Really - this is the guy you talked to me about?" But I have a gut feeling those two will best buds and planning stuff.

Really Blondie - normal. You used the word normal. Ok - just where in your vocabulary does that Fit? The the many wonderful years knowing you - NOT normal is the norm for you and you functions very well in NOT normal. Fingers are crossed that you get off early and have the best time.By the way - did I miss a message about Jack? How is the puppy?

VIRGINIA !!!! Happy Dance. So very happy for the both of you. My sailor really wanted to stay in VIrginia, so isn't it strange he purchased a house in CA?

Hey - need to split. this is last week with scouts for the school year. And this is the long day. hugs all

Hi, all. Back from a LONG hiatus. My sailor has been in Japan for 2 years (Atsugi). Two to go. Would love to get to know y'all. My youngest is getting married on Aug 2 so I am wrapped up in that and of course, he will not be able to come. Have one older daughter who lives in Puerto Rico w her husband who is Coast Guard. Take care.

Hello Ladies  This group has helped me many times. I could not go through this journey without  your support. I am desperately needing your support once more. I rarely hear from my son, however, he called last night. It was wonderful to hear his voice! He informed me that he would be working as an EOD. Moving out of the Japan area in 6 months. Can anyone fill me in on what I am to expect out of this new position and what he will be expected to do? Are there levels of training? When I started this journey 3 years ago, I thought he would be on a ship. Please help me understand this move. I'm trying to stay strong but again as this happens so often know one understands this journey  we are all on. Thank you for your listening ear and support.

@ Anti M & Kim thank you for the info, I have been trying to get him to look into it cause they are taking quite a bit out, so hopefully he will go to personnel and find out what is going on.
