Welcome Navychoirmom!  Glad you found us.  Now jump right in...questions, gossip, chat away.

Spring has gotten here too.  Last weekend was beautiful 70's and sunny but of course my allergies kicked into high gear, had bad thunderstorms last night and there's actually snow forecasted for Saturday...yep that's spring in Missouri!

I think my sailor has become obsessed with food.  When he got back to Japan he sent me a pic "his evening meal" a salad and a beer (says he needed to lose some of the weight he gained while home on leave heeheehee).  Then the other day another pic of his "man dinner" liver & onions, fried potatoes and a beer.  Last night I got another pic "being lazy tonight"  pizza rolls and a beer!  We teased him while he was home about having a little beer gut - no wonder!!!!

Cheryl - Ahh the Navy life...gotta go with the flow!  Rhyme or reason...what's that?

Hope you all have a great day!

Welcome BNAVYSCHIORMOM, there is a lot of good information and comfort here. I assume he made it safely and is probably going through his classes which tell him about the culture, places that are safe to travel to and not travel to. Ant questions ask away. There is a wealth of knowledge here.

Love the owls! Thanks Blondie, I sent her a screen shot because she is still having trouble finding it.
I wish I could send some of our weather to those of you in the cold climates. It's supposed to be in the 90's by Friday. Yuck!!!its only March after all.

So typical Navy. Beginning fo the month his ship was deploying. My sailor was told that morning he was staying on base to take a class, so he had to pack is gear, and run around the ship to get all of the appropriate officials sign off on his new orders and get is all done before the ship got underway.

Well got an email from him tonight, new orders he's back on-board ship ????

HI

I agree, they sound like baby elephants. When there are three of them and one hipper puppy- its a stamped. And why always in the early morning too?!

At first Maggs, I thought that was Angel. And that she fell into the bleach. You know - going for the younger summer glow look. A while back you posted a pic of Angel and she was in the same pose. Good to hear they like to play together.

Why would the doc give you the look Blondie? Yes, I know the answer - because YOU have always fixed things around the office - she thought you could fix the crowded waiting room too.  Keep us post on how things are going  .

Still snow on the ground here. Yesterday , when I got home from work  - I started shoveling the driveway. OH how heavy that WET snow is. When Vic got home he helped to finish - you the snow blower :). then we had a snowball fight - what fun. The kids thought we were nuts. They're only upset because they did not come out to play.

Well, need to get - have o get ready to play with scouts

Wish all a great day  hugs

This is what today looks like

Driving in Japan is insane.  We had bikes, and hubby got a new Harley shipped over (on base new car sales).  He got hit by a taxi in Yokohama which ran a red light.  He had a broken nose and was banged up, but it totaled the bike.  He had gotten a used one for me, so he started commuting on that.  Two wheels is the way to go over there.

And yes, I had a bike stolen on base,  forgot to lock it for ten minutes.  The guys who deploy and lock their bikes on base tend to have those locks cut and the bikes taken.  It sucks.

I think we are having spring here, up to 70 this weekend.  Lots of yard work accomplished!

So winter is not done with us yet. Like Lynn-T we had snow this weekend 1-2" so just a dust'n, but this morning mercury says 15 and windchill is 0. Brrrrr.
