Sorry, the fingers don't work as fast as the brain. Family room ok s correct.
Hi all;
Thanks for the hugs, I'm like for a few hours then I usually find something that has to be done and throw myself into and that helps alot. This visit was our best visit since he enlisted, and the leave sooner than I excepted gave me a spin, but I so enjoyed having him home this time. Sounds like I need to get that tree put away and get the family cleaned. Again, thanks so much for the hugs...
Agree with Blondie - use your sailors stuff! I wore his Div. Sweatshirt all the time until he got me a NAVY Mom one for Xmas. He also had a throw blanket embossed with a logo he designed for a BSA camp he worked @ it still smells like him. And the dog sleeps with one of his shirts ;`-( XoXo
mtnmom, Hugs to you. We all understand the feeling. I ususally give myself a set time to cry, 10 minutes. Feel it then kick my butt and get on with the day. I know its hard. You can do it, Navy Mom Strong!!!!!
mtnmom Hang in there ...we are all here for you and have all been in your shoes. Yes, it is an empty feeling but know you have done a great job. Take time to reflect on your job well done and be proud of his brave decision to move forward. You have given him that strength. Reach within and find that same strength and stand Navy Strong with all of US. You are not alone. Do something for yourself. Massage? Pedicure? Manicure? Starbucks? Enjoy your accomplishment. Sending you Navy Hugs:)
Hi all;
I just got back from the airport after getting my son there for a 6:30 flight to San Francisco, then Tokyo. The house is quiet, the cats are sulking, they know he's gone, and my tears won't start, but the tears on inside hurt just as much. Why do I always cry like this??????
Have to take down the Christmas tree today, I left it up for his visit, he liked all the lights. We had a great dinner out with some of his friends last night.
Hi Ladies,
Brrrrr, I am cold just hearing about all that cold. I feel very lucky that I don't have to deal with all that. Its been rainy here for a couple of days and chilly for us. After hearing about Blondie's day, I will keep my rain. All you Moms with surrounded by snow, think warm thoughts!! My husband used to tell me that when we lived in Denver and it was 10 degrees outside. It never worked for me. Arizona desert rat, that's me.
Sailor son has been here for 9 days now. Its amazing how fast I can get used to having him around. I really don't mind seeing him on the sofa just sleeping. Any you think my pups found a long lost brother!! Even Shelby. She is the one on the right in the picture. She doesn't like anyone, barks at the wind. But she is connected to my son. Waits at the bedroom door for him to wake up in the morning. I have to shooo her away from the door so she won't bark at it.
Having him here brings up another thing that has troubled me for years. My husband has a great schedule where he gets to be off for 4 or 5 days in a row. Now, I feel very left out when they head out to do (fill in the blank). I am a very responsible employee so I just keep working. I can work at home if needed. And just when I think its slowing down, things get busy. I just keep thinking how great it is that my husband gets that father son time. Part of me is a bit jealous. Ok, maybe more than a little. Then I see other employees come in late and leave early and wonder why can't I do that? Of course I could but then I would feel so guilty. What's a responsible grown woman to do?
Well, I guess the responsible part of me is winning again, I better get back to work.
Have a great weekend!!!
Happy New Year
Welcome Aboard new Moms. Share more gossip - love it
Maggs - so sorry you had that flu. I heard it is nasty. Good luck with Angel. I thought you purchased special gloves to handle her.

No baby here yet.
Still those faults pain, but getting more and more.
Figures we are at negative temps that were bad enough to close teh schools for two days.
So I have been trying to get my to do list done. But today i decided to get pneumonia, but only in the right lung. I might not get to work tomorrow. Hey all - going to rest up now
At least I can send hugs
She should apply for a passport now, on her own dime. Do not wait. This will speed things up, even though a name change later is a hassle. Do not wait for a Navy no fee one.
Oops
... There is a good chance the CS waiver will be approved. I have seen it go either way. This is why so many couples rush to marry in a courthouse during A school, to be on the orders. If they could change them, it would be no big deal. But they can't.
