HI,

So Angel has lost her secret spot. I bet that was surprise. But I hope those two become friends.

Yippee Blondie - does this means a vacation? Have FUN !!!!

New Moms - let us know when your sailors arrive. Us moms here like to hear that they are safe.

Bridal shower - how exciting.

Anti M - thank you for sharing the video. I love the beat of the drums. I was dancing in my chair. But mostly I was looking for you. NO luck. Have to look again.

Oh dear - that poor guy got that drug? Yes, sad.

This weekend - packing and more packing. No pics yet - sorry. But the kids will be taking some soon.

Wish all sweet dreams. hugs

blm.. turns out it was not depression suicide, but drugs... and not just any drugs, ones which only Native Americans should be using with spirit guides and controlled surroundings.  Still tragic, but a good warning not to mess with certain things.  My friends are scarred for life, even with all the professional counseling being provided for free.  I am sad and angry.

But yay for puppies and Norfolk!

Anti M-so sad when someone sees no other way out a a situation

Blondie WOOHOO

My daughter is adjusting to Norfolk-but fiance is there so that is a no brainer-got themselves a puppy and they are enjoying that. No new news on wedding plans-everything in place for now. Thinking a maybe a shower now that she is back in states.

Because Misawa is isolated, he will want a cheap used car.

If he were headed to Yokosuka or Sasebo,  nope.

When he gets to the airport, there is a DoD desk with assistance to find the buses to the various bases.  If he needs to ask, he should ask for the " D O D information".   Trying to get to Atsugi from Narita by train is not a job for newbies!  Also, the number his sponsor gave him may be a duty driver, who might be waiting for him.  I have seen it done both ways if the sponsor is not there to pick him up.  If the squadron is deployed with the GW, he will either be flown to meet them (in which case he won't want to bring a lot of extra stuff, send it later), or he will be in a hold situation until they return.  I'm assuming squadron because the GW is out of Yokosuka, Atsugi is an inland air base.

Ok Thanks! That's what I thought. We are going to suspend his phone when he gets there and he's going to get a phone there. I'm just nervous about him getting over there and being stuck at the airport. He has a sponsor but he is out to sea right now on the George Washington. So he said he gave him a # to call when he gets there.

Atsugi, he will be in the barracks.  Not sure if they share with one or two roommates.  He can pretty much bring what he likes except for the usual stuff which is not allowed like firearms, knives and other weapons, and contraband (alcohol, porn).  He should suspend his US phone.

My son leaves for Atsugi, Japan next week. Anyone have any info on what he should and shouldn't bring with him.

This is the happy part of the celebration, the fire conclave performance and lighting of the effigy.  You can't see me, my husband and I are in the back, to the right... I can spot us in the last few moments of the clip, but I know where to look for our red shirts.  Please enjoy the happiness of the moment before it was taken from us.

HI

Anti M - I am sorry that this happened at an event that means so much to you. i am glad to know you did not see this happen. Gentle hugs dear firend.

Blondie- some how - one day - please be able to share a pick of your sailor with all hat chest candy. And Brag away! WE love to hear it.  All here doing the happy dance. Give her a hug for me.

So Barb - this is what I get to look forward to Babysitting that does you in, but you love every tired moment of it. Glad you had a relaxing time at camp fire.

Yippee, he is not hurt Drama. Isn't it funny when they do listen to Mom and then Mom turns out right - how quiet they get. But one day - you will get this surpirse hug and whisper in you in your ear - telling you thanks for the advice and believing  in him. then come here and share :).

Welcome Kathy. Only things I will add:

does he have his pass port? If not get IT!

And back his long johns - several pairs. Honest it is needed.

Need to get along - I have     to teach geologist to Webelos tomorrow at Summer Camp. plus packing up stuff. This is where you suddenly say: So that is where I put that and now I don't need it anymore."

Take care all hugs
