We decided a few weeks ago that we would stay on base instead of in Harrisonburg. I found out the day before my husband's A school graduation that they found a house for us. We leave for West Virginia this Friday and will be moving into our new house July 5. So excited!!!

From the pictures I've seen, they do look like they are very nice. Shreveport is a few hours away from me!

I live 30 minutes from New Orleans. I'm 28 and have lived here all my life. This is the first time we're moving out of state.

Does anyone know where I can start looking for an apartment? I've done a Yellow Pages search of apartment complexes and real estate agencies. I've also searched Craigslist. Are there any areas I shouldn't look at??

Thanks in advance, everyone

I think we're going to live in Harrisonburg. I think we're moving to the right place. I'm excited about touring the caves! Not looking forward to driving in the snow though. I'm from LA and we do NOT have snow here! Hopefully we'll have a nice 3 year break from flooding and hurricanes though :D hehe

I will definitely tell him Mary Jane! He's still not used to hearing that, lol.

Congratulations on your daughter's graduation.  My son will graduate A school in San Antonio on April 22, then home for leave.  Maybe.  Orders have not come down yet, supposedly because of the budget problems in DC.  He can't leave San Antonio until orders come through....very frustrating.  Oh well, I'm sure everything will turn out for the best!
