Information

Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii

It's actually a Marine base but my son is in the Navy and is stationed along with a lot of others that make up Navy forces. And I would love to hear information from others about the area, or others that have family or friends stationed there.

He will be with VP 9.  He is a AM.  I am excited for him as I grew up in Hawaii and miss it greatly.  I am hoping he makes friends out there.  Continue

Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving whether your sailors are near or far this holiday.  I hope they are safe, happy, and calling home this weekend!

Hi everyone! My sailor just PCS'd there. I think his squadron is HSM-39.  Any advice for this mom who's a thousand miles away?

Welcome to the group Celina and tiffytbe!  My son has been stationed as a Corpsman at Kaneohe Bay since last January.  We just returned from a 12 day trip to visit with him.  It is beyond beautiful there and your sons are going to love it.  He does live in the barracks with the Marines.

My son said RimPac has kept them all busy recently, always a busier time for all, when RIMPAC is in town! :-)

Welcome and Aloha Celina and Tiffy! Your sailors will love Kbay! ❤ My son is the "radar guy" in a P- 3 Orion, with VP Squadron 47 at K-Bay. You might also join the Hawaii group here--lots of experienced Moms there too http://navyformoms.com/group/hawaii
