Merry Christmas, Ky Navy Moms!  Just go through spending holidays here in Ky with all of our family except our sailor.  He has duty today on the ship (Christmas Day) and didn't get to come home for Christmas.  So my husband and I are leaving around noon today to go to Norfolk to spend a few days after Christmas with him, our daughter-in-law and our 18 month old granddaughter.  Holiday blessings to all of you!

We can coordinater w the Illionis Molly's moms and make a plan - and help with any month we choose. It's all good - because we love these dedicated men and women all year long!!

We can do it at the 'Hub' a coffee house here in Danville- they'll even let us put up a collection box in the store with a list of needs. I asked - we just need to give them a date. I bet if we went to local business, they'd contribute.

Packing Party...???  Molly's???  I just joined Molly's and as a nurse in a medical family we have a soft spot for the Special Hugs of Molly's. I was just going to their site next to leave a post. When is the packing party?

I am planning to leave the Park n Ride at the Lawrenceburg exit off the BG Parkway at 7:30 Saturday morning.  That should put me in Glendale by 9:00.  I haven't heard from Dolphin yet as to whether she is still planning on coming or not.  But I am definately coming - can't wait.

Anyone else want to meet me and ride with me?

Bluegrass and Bourbon - I'm glad you got to spend time with your son at the airport before his flight left.  Just you mentioning that you got back from PIR brought back many wonderful memories of my son's PIR.  I still get on you tube sometimes and watch the videos that others have put on there of PIR and I get goosebumps every time they show those big doors opening up and all the sailors come marching in.  Awesome!  Go Navy!

Hey Ya'll - Just got home from PIR last night. I couldn't have been more proud as a Patriotic American and especially as a Mom. It was awesome. I know you all understand. We met our SAILOR (so cool to say) at the airport at 230am and hung out with him until his flight left. He's off to Corpsman School in San Antonio. Hugs to all my Navy family. - B&B
