BigBufordsMom- Welcome to our group!  My best friend's son was in Groton for a while.  She got to go visit him there and loved eating at Mystic Pizza (made famous in a movie).

I hope you can join us on one of our next outings/get-togethers.  We are planning a trip to Glendale, Ky on Sat. Oct. 20th for their Glendale Crossing festival.  I went last year and LOVED it!  Their craft and vendor booths are like nothing I have ever seen before.  I came home with lots of great craft ideas, not to mention all the items I bought.  Lots of great food, too!

For those that want to go to Glendale on Oct. 20th.  I will be leaving from the Lawrenceburg exit of Bluegrass Parkway at 7:00am.  There's a Park n Ride at this exit (59b) off the BG Parkway.  If anyone wants to meet me at the Park N Ride, they can ride with me.  The festival lasts until 5:00 and we should arrive back in L-burg by 6:30.

I hope to meet a bunch of you Ky Navy Moms on Oct. 20th.  Come join us!

My son is still in "A" school in Groton, CT (been there since March 1st).  Glad I found this group and anxious to get to know more KY moms, wives, girlsfriends. etc.

NurseNavyMom and Dophin - I had a great time with you yesterday at the Glitz.  Lots of great food, amazing things to see in their shops and most of all time to talk with other navy moms that know exactly what I'm going through with a son in the Navy.  It means so much to me that I know there are other Navy moms out there that I can depend on for friendship and support.

I just hope more of our Ky Navy moms will join us in our future get-togethers.  Yesterday's lunch/shopping was just what I needed to do something for me for a change.  My batteries are re-charged now!

Brandon'sMom94 and KevsMomKim- I know how excited you must be getting as you are nearing your sons' PIR will be in a few weeks.  You are in for an awesome experience to see PIR.  It has been 3 years since my son's PIR and I remember it like it was yesterday. My son had his re-inlistment ceremony today and I wish I could've been there.  Hard to believe he's been in the Navy for 3 years already.

Everyone mark your calendar for Oct. 20th, which will be our next Ky Navy Moms outing.  We'll be going to Glendale Ky for their Crossing Festival.  Lots of great shopping at hundreds of booths and delicious food.  More details coming soon.

Brandon'sMom94 and KevsMomKim, I hope you can join us.  We'd love to meet you in person.

Welcome Kev'sMomKim to our Ky Moms group!  It's great to be getting new members.

Our Ky moms try to get together a couple times each year to see each other face to face and catch up on what's going on with each of us.

We would like to invite you to our next outing so that we could meet you.  It will be on Saturday, Sept. 29th, 11:30 at The Glitz in Nonesuch, Ky (near Versailles).

If you can come, let me know (Jboysmom - Lisa).  I will be calling to give The Glitz our final number attending on Wednesday, Sept. 26th.  It will cost $27 per person which includes tax and gratuity.  It's kinda expensive, but soooo worth it!

We'd love to have you join us, Kim.  And any other Ky moms that have not sent me a reply or made a post on here; we'd love to have all of you join us - the more the merrier!

     Blessings to all,

     Jboys mom (Lisa from Lawrenceburg)
