Angie - woohoo! I'm so glad you are coming.
I am soooo looking forward to spending time with all of you. Plus I can't wait to do something for ME finally and pamper myself by this ladies only time at the Glitz. I know it is more expensive than most of us are used to spending, but I figure we're WORTH IT! I'm skipping my usual 2 runs to Starbucks each week to save money so I can go the Glitz and I know it will be worth it!
jboysmom...I am. I'm looking forward to it!!
I forgot to add in Angie's name - Angie are you still going with us on the 29th?
Here's more information about our outing for Sept. 29th:
reservation is for 11:30 at The Glitz in Nonesuch, KY (near Versailles)
Since we have a group of more than 4, they ask that we pay with one check, cash or credit card. The cost is $27 per person (includes tax and gratuity). Everyone either bring cash or a check made out to me and I'll pay with a check (I don't have a credit card)
Right now, here's who I have confirmed to attend:
Me (Lisa, Jboysmom)
Shelia and her daughter (NurseNavymom)
Karen (Dolphin)
Kim
Karen will bring our cards for us to write a few notes to the WWII Veterans that will be going on the Oct Honor Flights
Anyone else going with us?
Mary - sorry you won't be able to join us on the 29th. I was looking forward to meeting you. My son has been in Norfolk, VA for the past 3 years. We go to VA Beach every time we visit them because it's only 12 miles from them. We are heading down to visit them on the 14th of this month and I can't wait!
Would you be able to join us when we go to the Glendale Crossing festival on Saturday, Oct. 20th? It is a HUGE craft fair with over 400 booths all set up in a big field beside the railroad crossings. A couple of our Ky Navy Moms went last year and had a blast eating all the great food and seeing so many great craft ideas. I saw items made that I had never seen before and can't wait to go back again this year. We'd love for you to join us - I know you would have a great time!
Ok, Ky Navy Moms - I need a head count of all that will going on our next outing to The Glitz on Sept. 29th. I need to call to make the reservation.
They serve lunch from 11:30-1:30. What time do you want me to make the reservation?
We could either meet at the Park N Ride just off the Lawrenceburg exit on BG parkway or we could mee at Falling Springs rec center in Versailles. Either place has parking available, then we can carpool from there to The Glitz. Or you can just meet us at The Glitz.
I just need to know how many are going and what time so I can make the reservation!
jboysmom...I would love to go on the 29th. Where shall we meet???
Brandon's Mom...I have thought about you quite often. I'm glad you received a letter. I used to stalk the mailman waiting on letters lol. If at all possible, I would love for you to join in on the 29th.
Hi Dolphin...hope all is going good!! I hope you can join us on the 29th.
Brandon's Mom - glad you found our Ky Navy Mom's group. We're small in numbers, but there sure are some wonderful ladies in this group! I live in Lawrenceburg, but I am a Librarian/teacher at Sandersville Elem. in Lexington.
Our Ky Navy Moms group tries to get together at least 2 or 3 times a year. Our next outing is going to be on Sat. Sept. 29th and we're going to the Glitz in Nonesuch, KY (near Versailles). Can you join us? We would all be great support for you because we've all been there where you are with your son in boot camp right now. We are all very supportive of each other and I'm proud to call all these ladies my friend.
Welcome to our group, Brandon's Mom - hope you can join us on Sept. 29th!
In Lexington here and my son is in Basic..... PIR 10/12. Would love to know of a KY based mom's group!!!
