Wow, Shelia, you sure were busy for your Mother's Day weekend!  But it all sounds so wonderful and I'm so happy for you.

Ok, Ky Navy Moms - I'm soooo ready for our next outing/get together.  I think we all need to at least meet to eat somewhere so that we can all get caught up with each other.  Anyone want to try for a Saturday morning breakfast or a Sunday afternoon in June?

I have to take just a moment to brag on my son.  His ship, USS Wasp just pulled into port in Fort Lauderdale for fleet week.  There’s a live web cam that is showing all the Navy’s ships as they arrive today for fleet week and you can go to this link to see the web cam:  http://portevergladeswebcam.com/

If you look at the web cam, there are actually 2 different views.  In the upper left corner of the web cam screen, there are 2 arrows.

If you click the one pointing to the right (Fort Lauderdale), you’ll see my son’s ship – just the back end of it.  It is the biggest ship in that view and it shows the big long flight deck with a helicopter on the deck (it’s the big grey ship in the back of the picture).

If you click the arrow pointing to the left (Port Everglades), you’ll see several of the ships that have been arriving today.  My son’s ship is the one in the back of the picture.  It has a huge #1 in white painted on the side, but it’s hard to see that because it’s farthest away.

I sure wish I could be there because the weather looks absolutely perfect.  Seeing those palm trees blowing in the ocean breeze and all these Navy ships.  I told my son that he sure does have a really tough job this week – ha! ha!  But they deserve some liberty time from all those weeks out to sea on the ship while protecting all of us!

Hi Dolphin...I hope all is going good.  My continued prayers for your son.  I hope you all are still going to have your get away this month.  Whenever the next outing is, I will be there if I can.  I had such fun the last time. I wear my pin that you gave me every day.  I'm glad I had it on when my house was broken into.  Otherwise they would have gotten it too!!  Have a great week.
