Update!!  Navyformoms.com is being updated and upgraded, and part of this effort is making room for new members.  To do so, members who have not been active since 12/1/15 will be removed but will be able to re-join.  If you haven't posted since that date, please do so right away.  This is all part of an effort to make Navyformoms.com the best it can be for everyone, seasoned moms and new members alike.  Thanks and watch for good things to happen!

Welcome nancyp!  In response to the message you sent to this group's members - no, there isn't a separate group for Little Creek.  The group that covers the area is this one and it's quite active - "Norfolk Sailors - Family and Friends.

Beauty for ashes, i lived in colony point and the apartments were beautiful and spacious but i lived in the ones by little creek idk if thats considered ghent, but they are a little expensive for an apartment u can rent a whole house for that price, idk what ur looking for exactly but im looking to rent a house in va as well, also as far as norfolk goes id stay away from downtown norfolk, or south norfolk.. Those are the bigger crime areas, also JEBLC is partly in va beach, u could also look for some apartments out there!

Hello All,

I am planning to relocate to the Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Chesapeake area this coming summer.  I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row. I will greatly GREATLY appreicate any insight on neighborhoods, schools, traffic, and activities for a 9 year old boy.  We will be relocating to be with my sailor who is stationed in Norfolk.

I am also going to be seeking employment.  I currently work in HR as a Specialist I have 5 years experience and a Masters in Public Administration.  I know that it's WHO you know these days and will GREALTY appreciate being sent in the right direction in the area as well.
