I took a weekend trip down to Norfolk to look at areas to live. So far it looks like we'll either find a house in Chesapeake or Virginia beach. The prices for houses in good areas are kinda high for what you get but that's just the way it is.. Hopefully we'll be able to find a house once my hubby gets here!!

Hi Alexis :) Hearing someone say they like it there already after only a week is making me even more excited! We are from Nevada originally and this whole East Coast experience hasn't been the best for the two of us so far...I can't wait to get out of here lol. I'm hoping Virginia will be a much better time for us. We are gonna start driving there Friday the fifteenth probably and be there for a few days looking at houses and then head home for a week hopefully.

Hi ladies, my name is Magan. My husband and I are going to be stationed in Norfolk, he is actually reporting there tomorrow. Not sure when I will be there, but it'd be nice to meet some ladies before I go so I'm not so nervous about moving! My husband, David, graduated boot camp 2/11/11 and is already done with A School in Pensacola. He will be aboard the Harry S Truman that we were told is dry docked for 18 months, but not sure if that's completely true.

I normally don't come on here that often, but trying to make it a daily routine now lol.

Hi Brogiexx, me and my husband are looking at moving there between April 16th and May 5th, as long as things don't change too much to the orders we are waiting for. I hope we can get to meet each other :)

Hi ladies! My husband and I will be moving to Norfolk at the end of April. I am very excited to find a home and get settled!! He is going to be stationed on the IKE for 3 years.. He's been in for just over 5 years and has never been on a ship before!! I would love to meet some of you ladies and get together and hang out.. It will be nice to have a support system while our husbands are away.. Looking forward to getting to know you all :)
