Has anyone heard from their loved one that shipped on 12/7? He called us that night to let us know he made it, but we still haven't received the box or the letter. Will his PIR most likely be 2/5/16?

My husband arrived in GL on 12/7. I got the call around 11PM that night. I received his box last week, Thursday, 12/10, but have not gotten the official letter yet. I am not sure if weather and holidays has anything to do with delivery as well as distance from GL. I reside in Louisiana.

We live in Oklahoma. Maybe my son decided to donate his clothes instead of having them sent back to us since he gave us his cell phone when we left him last Monday. Do you know your husbands PIR date or does that come with the official letter?

I have read that some boxes contained the letter, but mine did not.
Also, you are not alone. I know someone else that hasn't received the box. My husband didn't donate/throw away anything from the looks of things. I will post a discussion when I receive the letter. I know someone that posted on here last week, received their letter Friday, I think it was. Their son had arrived 12/7 but earlier in the day than my husband. So apparently there were numerous groups arriving throughout the day. I would not sweat it. He probably threw it away because that was one less expense coming out of his check since he didn't have a phone to ship back.

I bet you're right. I didn't realize it would come out of their check. He's 18 years old, so every little bit counts. That makes me feel better. I'll anxiously await his letter. Oh - he called us about 10:00 pm when he arrived on Monday night. Hopefully we will all hear from them soon! I'm trying to figure out how to add you as a friend on here. I'm not very good at this stuff.
Hi Amanda my son shipped out 12/8 I received the box on Friday 12/11... But no letter or phone call yet... Hoping something happens this week! You should be getting box soon hang In there! By the way we are from Miami!
Amanda, I received the letter today. My husband is graduating 1/29. He called me after arriving to GL around 11PM on 12/7. Again, I got the Box Thursday 12/10. And the letter today.
Yay! I'm so glad you got the letter! Hopefully I'll get mine soon.

Did he go in on 12/7?
