Just found out what ship my son is on, when trying to reply to the other mom in this division it did not work. I would love to hear from other moms who have children on this ship.

Hi joshuasmom. My son is Ship 03 Div 084 too. There is another discussion that's been started too so I posted there too. Check it out. I saw it on the top of the Leaving for bootcamp in December page. Guess we all better get on one discussion so we don't miss anything!

Hey, I'm ship 03, div 083. Someone said it might be temporary and so I am waiting for my letter as well. Anyways, we will probably be at PIR on 2/18, I think.... ! Glad to see another mom here.

I have not gotten any letter or box, no phone call either. Not sure he remembered to write down numbers, and he may need a phone card. Miss him so much. I am just writing what I can and waiting it out.

Hi! My son left for Boot Camp on December 15th. I just spoke to his recruiting office and found out he is ship 3 division 084. The recruiter I spoke with said I should be receiving a letter in the next one or two days. I can't wait to hear from him! His boxed arrived on Monday. I miss him so!

mmorga

Well at least we can send letters, cards, and hopefully the letter comes soon. I do not know what Josh did as far as his box. Maybe he sent it to his girlfriend or brother, I will have to check. I do not think they realize how much these little things mean to us. I miss him also, kinda wondering around, not sure what to do, waiting on a child that is not here. UGGG I am gonna cry. Does it stop?

His brother got his box on Monday and did not tell me until today... Kids
My daughter received my son's box. We had decided it would be easier to send it to her versus trying to send it to us in Europe especially during the Christmas mailing rush.. She really got a kick out of opening it. I was sad that I didn't get the chance. Still waiting for the letter. At this time of year it takes extra time for the mail to come through. STill missing 5 Christmas packages that didn't make it here in time. It started snowing 20 hours ago and has not let up a bit. We never see very much snow here, but this year we are getting slammed. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

We Got a few calls from our SR yesterday regarding security clearance items. He said that some of the recruits were sick with colds, and that they started 1/1 yesterday. I look forward to meeting you  all at PIR-

hang in there- only 50 more days! :

Thanks for the update. It is nice to hear what is going on with the boys no matter what little tidbit it is. Hopefully none of them get too sick.
I got a call from my son yesterday for some needed info. Was so suprised to hear his voice. He sounded happy. Said he couldn't talk though just needed to give me a fax number to send info to. I thought he sounded like he had a cold so I asked and he said yes he had a cold and had had shots so he wasn't feeling so good. He said I really gotta go. I love you. I would have loved to talk and hear a little news of how things were going but he was on a mission and I'm sure had orders to give the info and get off. I felt really positive though. You know how a mom knows by the voice if something's not right and he sounded good and strong to me. So it's all good!!  :-)

I know exactly what you mean- I listened for the stress in his voice and there was none!

What a relief! He said he has a cold too. We got pretty much exactly the same call :)

Hubby got a call a little later in the day for the same info, but there must not have been a security officer a round, cause they got to chat for a few. Sure feels like a weight off my shoulders to have some contact! And he did say he passed his security interview, so he will be able to keep his Crypto rating!!! Yeehah!!!
