Ship 03, Div 083!!! Love to have found you. How many are in a division anyway?

Renick usually 88 are in a division

so, I've found one... 86 to go!

Wow really? That's awesome! You're also the one that flew out of California too, right?

:D

YOU GOT THE LETTER?!?!?!

Ahh!! Okay, I don't get mail for a few more hours :(

And no, my husband flew out of San Jose. I can't wait to get my letter!!!

I'm waiting for my mail also. I didn't get any letters or calls yet. KathyF you must be so glad to have gotten your letter. Is it just a regular sized white envelope? I am feeling like maybe mine got lost. I talked to the recruiter this morning and he said that no news was good news. I get mail her any minute so I'll be watching!

Hi All,

My son is in this division... and flew out of San Jose.  I wonder, Sprack, did your husband leave on the 15th?  Super nice to know that I talking with folks that are going through the same thing.

I got an envelope yesterday, stating that they are graduating on the 18th of Feb, and that I should dress warmly. :)  Couple of options for hotels and things like that.

I actually just mailed a letter a couple days ago, due to the holiday I am a little behind.  I better get on another one soon so he has something fun to read about.

Anyway, my son's name is Dallas, and is just 18 years old.  I am sure he doing fine though.

Stacie

Yes, then your son most definitely shipped out with my husband, his name is Brandon. :)

You should book a flight SOON, I just got mine yesterday (out of San Jose because it was the cheapest one I could find) for the 17th until the 21st. Round trip was about 368 dollars. We ended up getting two rooms at the Renassanse? Or something like that. It is pretty close to the site of graduation.

I am SO excited to talk to you though :)

I will have to look at your husband a bit closer, maybe I have a shot of him in the picture I took during their swearing in... if they swore in together?

Those are the dates that I was planning on going as well.  I am not sure who is coming with me though, so I working those details out.  My husand would love to come, and is on the list to attend, but we have 6 kids total, Dallas is the oldest, and we need to work out those details... can't fly us all there. :)

I will talk with my hubby tonight and get a move on those tickets.... What airline did you go with?  I just looked today on Southwest but am open for any bargain.

Are you going to get a rental car?  I see that some hotels have shuttles to the base, so I thought we could do that... Are you flying in through O'Hare or Midway?

Sorry, enough with the questions. :)

Stace

I went on expedia to find good prices and ended up finding a bunch, but the cheapest were no stops, which I liked.
I think his parents are going to rent the car.

and I'm flying to o'hare

Thanks Kathy,

I want to say that I read somewhere on this massive board that going through midway is a bit less stressful because it is a small airport, but then again flying into the snow, I think I might like a bigger airport.

 :)
