My son left 02:13:14, I was so emotional. I tried to keep it together but I was so proud, yet scared to death. He made it to Great Lakes, now the waiting begins! Feeling lost!

Glad to hear he made it and I understand the roller coaster you are on - My son left Feb 5th, - I wouldnt had had a clue as to what to think if it wasnt for so many others on here writing about their experiences - It is the fear of the unknown for me and him being the baby as well as we have never been apart for more then a couple days here and there in his life - Im so proud of hi and that too makes me cry - tears are so very normal!! Good Luck and welcome to  the roller coaster ride known as Mom of a SR!!

This link helped me feel as tho what I was feeling was normal hope it helps you - http://navyformoms.com/group/leavinforbootcampinfebruary/forum/topi...

You are not alone, my son left the day before. They are in good hands (I keep telling myself that). I'm sure the weather and amount of canceled flights will delay their processing days a bit. Also, the holiday Monday. Hang in there and keep visiting this site. It has been a huge help and comfort for me

My son left/arrived on Feb 12th. I was an absolute mess! I know exactly how you are feeling, and am here to talk if you need to. I even started a support group on Facebook that has been taking off over the last couple of days, trying to connect with others in my situation. I didn't know about this website until after I formed the page, but it's all working out. This site takes FOREVER for the pages to load, so it's easier for me to use Facebook. If you are on there, feel free to send me a friend request. My profile link is: www.facebook.com/JessJ76

and the support group page is: www.facebook.com/NFFSG

Also, I found this video helped me understand what my son will be going through, so you may want to watch it. It was comforting to me as it's made just for us to understand what the boot camp process is like.

My son got to GL on a Tuesday, P-2 was Wednesday I believe he said. It is very confusing. I want to try to follow what he is doing every day!
