Hello, all.

My daughter just enlisted last month.  We were originally told that she would probably not be leaving for RTC until Summer.  Last week, however, she found out that she will be leaving on 2/16.  A bit of a shock, but I suppose sooner is better than later.  I'm trying to navigate my way around this site and learn the ropes quickly, as it appears that this will be a great source of information/comfort in the upcoming months/years.  If anyone has any advice to give, I'm all ears.

Thanks, and it will be nice to get to know you.

Hello ,   My Dau leaves the same time to GL 2/16 ...as with your daughter my dau Jessi has only been in since December. Definite possibility they will be in the same ship/div :) ..I have found this site so helpful and have hung on close lol.

I have already started preparing for PIR ...fyi, u may know this already but it is much cheaper to fly into milwuakee than any other airports and also cheaper on rental cars. Would love to get to know you...btw im Jaime...nice to meet you.

Hope to chat more with you. have a great day.

Proud of our future Sailors!

Jaime

p.s. Whats your dau rate (job) ,,,,,my dau's  is MAA (master at arms) she will be going to A School in Lackland AFB Texas

Jaime

Thank you very much for the information.  My daughter's job is AIRC/AIRR.  She will be in Pensacola for a long time.  Her job requires an additional two years of service, so she is signed up for 6 years plus 24 months AR.  I just read your note to her and told her to look for a girl named Jessi.  Hope they meet.  :)

Harkness26, thank you for the links.  I will definitely check them out.
