My son leaves January 7. I can't quit crying. How in the world do you get through it.

Don't miss your son before he is gone. I know it is hard, but enjoy the time you have together.

I do enjoy our time together. It's when I'm alone. He is with his dad on a trip to see his grandparents for Christmas so I won't see him until Dec. 29.
You raised him to leave and go out and pursue his dreams. He is getting ready to do that. You really didn't want him living with you when he is 31 did you?
Make plans for when you see him again and hold him in your heart and in your prayers until you can hold him in your arms again.
I completely understand. My son leaves on Jan. 7th as well. It is extremely tough! I could not be more proud, but just the thought of him leaving is definitely taking its toll on me.
I understand! This is my second trip to boot camp this time with my youngest son. My older son has been in the Navy since 2010. All I can say is... It does get easier! Just remember you've raised him to go explore his dreams and maybe you will find some sort of comfort in that. And come here often, we get it and understand. I swallow back tears of pride on a regular basis. Lots of {{{{{hugs}}}} to you lakeview.
