Hello all -

My daughter will be leaving in just 47 days arriving in GL on the 7th. So far she is the only one at her recruiting station to be leaving on that date.  Anyone out there have a Future Sailor with an RTC arrival date of January 7th?  I know they're all in "it" together, but my daughter will be in the Navy Aircrewman job category.  I'd love to compare info.  ;-)

I dropped my daughter off on the 7th too, she arrived at RTC last night. How are you doing? I am a crying useless mess. She is my first born, so first to leave the nest. I wonder if our girls will be together.

My daughter is also my firstborn, but I think I'm doing well. Of course I'm searching online past my bedtime looking for any info that might pertain to her or the group I watched pass through security yesterday evening. I'm also wishing I had bought the blue candle and trying to guess what she's doing at the moment. I do hope our girls can make friends although the recruiters tell them they are there to graduate - not to make friends. Reading is helpful but can also create more concerns.... are they getting enough sleep, are they forming a tough skin or getting discouraged, or worse - doubting their decision, can they keep up physically if they didn't train ahead of time..... aw heck, I'm sure I'm going to be a "crying, useless mess" before too long. At least we'll be in the same boat & we can bolster each other. I was able to remind my daughter that they can get word out through other recruits and NavyforMoms - let's see what happens. I'll send up another prayer to help keep us moms strong.

My wife got to GL on the 7th after her flight was canceled.

My daughter's 7th flight was cancelled but the group got out the next day after 12hrs sitting at the USO. I think they were all happy to go since a couple of them were supposed to leave on Monday the 6th. I wonder if this makes them the "push" group.
