My oldest son just left Monday morning and shipped July 7th. My husband, son and I were all holding back tears, but all excited at the same time. We recived the short phone call around 10pm he arrived safely. He sounded happy! We told him, he would do great and we were very proud of him.
I'm looking forward to receiving his ship number and all his information in the mail.

Our son got there on the 8th and as much as we already miss him I know he will be just fine . My hope is that even though he will grow up a lot there that he will still be his goofy old self also!
My son also shipped July 7th and I got the phone call around 10pm. I have been so thrilled that he made it and now it's like he just disappeared. He is my first of 3 to leave the nest and I've had such a mixture of emotions. Im so glad I was introduced to this site!
My Son is also the oldest of my three boys, it's the strangest feeling not having him around or any contact. I think it's the waiting to get that first letter is the hardest part. I'm looking forward to hear from him even a Hi Mom! Lol
I'm with you on this site, we are very fortunate to have this.
Thank you for sharing with me☺️

Yeah it is really strange that while the rest of family here is going about our daily lives here that he has such a different one now there.  Sometimes  I can't seem to wrap my mind around it. I think I just have to know that he really wanted to do this and would not be happy if he wasnt there.

My son left on July 8th, has anyone received "the box" or letter yet?

Not yet for me. Hopefully soon ! (That is when my son arrived also)
Just got Our BOX this evening!!!! Our son left on 7/7. All his clothing rolled up and inside his Navy backpack. Cell phone, charger, folder with his flash cards and contract. We are relieved to have his things although I did cry a few tears. Now to wait for the Form letter and perhaps a call!
Good that means we should have ours soon also since our son got there on the 8th. I will feel so much better when we get an address!

My son is also the oldest of my three and he left on July 8th and I received the phone call at 2:30 am Thursday that he arrived safely.  It has been a real adjustment to not having him around.  Our dogs are even looking for him.  I received a call from Fedex today confirming our address so I am assuming I will be receiving his package today at some point.  I feel like I have so many questions and I am searching for the answers on here.

Do you know if it shipped FedEx ground or regular fedex? My son got there on the 8th also but we still don't have anything yet.
My husband said FedEx dropped around 7pm last night.

Ok thanks. Hopefully it is this afternoon because we won't be home this evening. I would hate to have to wait for another day! The closer I get to getting things and information the longer it seems it takes to get here!
