In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

So soon after high school graduation, but I know my daughter would leave sooner if she got the call. My corpsman in training has been ready for this day for 6 years.

Hello my son is leaving 7/7/2014. I am wondering if your daughter will be in the same boot camp as my son. Two reasons because we already live like 20+ miles from Great Lakes and he has to meet up with his recruiter then go to the motel then go O'Hare and wait in a corridor for everyone that flies in from other parts of USA and territories. He had signed up way back in Dec. 2013. He has had 3 other job offers. The others didn't workout for him. He is still taking the original offer, Culinary Specialist. We shall see!
I am not sure how the grouping at boot camp works. I don't know how integrated the training is, either. We have to go to Cleveland on 7/7....she will spend the night there and then fly out on 7/8.
Those arriving the week of 07/07/2014 could have PIR 08/29/2014 (for some or all arriving on Monday or Tuesday), 09/05/2014 (most that week), or 09/12/2014 (possible for those arriving at the end of the week). See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.
See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and Ship/Division--How it Works. Females will have training with males. They will either be in an integrated division with both males and females or will be in an all female division and train with an all male division.
My son left July 9th. Flew to O'Hare. heard from him via text waiting for their bus. His cell likely died and we never got the "call home"...he signed in January 2014. Also turned down some other jobs (intelligence and logistics) and stayed with original job that was made available--Culinary Specialist Sub.

My daughter also went to Meps on the 7th arrived at Great Lakes on the 8th. Do you suppose maybe they are together? This is very hard to get thru- I am so thankful for this website.
I think once we get the letter and know what division our "kids" are in we will be able to see who is together. It is hard hoots mom but your right this website is so very helpful and at least our feelings are normal.
My son leaving July 8 also, from western new York. Today was High School graduation. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. This next week is going to fly by so fast. We are so very proud of him.

Hello Mothers of children leaving in the next 7-10 days. I like us to keep in touch with one another. I like to call us Ruby's Moms, basically my birthday is on 10th and it will be my first time I will not see my son on my birthday. So I need some support next week. I just thought I would share that!
