She didn't call home. My heart is broken. She called her less than liked boyfriend instead. I'm not ready for this!

I feel for you! I really didn't think this would be so hard. I also didn't realize that kids think we are so strong that we don't have feelings. Hang in there too.... With two sons and a daughter, the sons want to please mom more than girls do!!

That is so sad, as a mom who's son arrived at GL Tuesday - Im a frantic wreck worrying how he is. His quick "Im here mom" phone call was so quick, yet if I didnt get it and someone else did...I dont know what i would do. Maybe, and this is just a maybe, maybe she felt it was easier for her to talk to him quickly, because talking with you might be too tough for her? Maybe its easier for her to be weak in his eyes rather than in yours? Or maybe she didnt want to upset you more than you already are, and figured calling the boyfriend would be easiest? Maybe Im grasping at straws, who knows how the minds of these kids work! But Im sure it doesnt mean she loves you any less, and I truly am betting on it being one of the reasons I suggested. Hang in there, and when you do hear from her, swallow the hurt and anger (save it for another time!) and just be positive and upbeat. Give her every reason to want to talk with you more, and him less. Shock her. Than hang up the phone and cry. And if you really want to zing him, keep that address you'll be getting to yourself for a week...2 weeks..."forget" to make sure he has it ;). We're all here to help you through (some more devilishly than others!!) Haha!

Thank you Worried Mama. Your words are so comforting. Please let me know when you get your form letter. Our kids will be graduating together. It's the only way I'm going to know if I'm missing something. Thank you!

I stopped in the recruiters office today - he says the form letter should be sent within this week so keep your eyes open. As of today (Monday) there was an address for my son, but no PIR date yet. I promise to keep you posted - and you keep me posted as well! Hang in there.

How did u find an address?  He knew the division?
