My son left for BC just 2 day ago on the 28th and I already got his box. It was a bit emotional as I had ot have my daughter take it away :( No notes in it but I also noticed his phone was not in there?? My husband, whom is a Chief in the Navy said he believes they are allowed to keep their phones and use them when they get fre time to call? Anyone know of this? I know they are not allowed to have them on them but thinking they may have put it away with his other things he can keep? His wallet wasn't in there either....
Look in every pocket, shoe, and sock. The cell phone will be there somewhere, usually in two parts--the battery separate from the phone. Recruits cannot keep their cell phones and get in big trouble and could even face fines and separation if they were to keep them.
i couldn't find my sons phone in his box either, but i later found it in a sock tucked in his shoe
Well I checked and no phone in his box. My husband runs a division of recruiting offices and he did mention that they should be allowed now to keep their phones so I hope this is the case. I will post when I do talk to my son about it to see exactly where it is.He is not the kind of kid to get himself in trouble so if he was not supposed to keep it he would have sent it back. I will def find out!
The policy and practice concerning cell phones at the RTC has not changed. Your son's cell phone should be in "the box."
Yup, found it! lol It was hidden really well in his sock lol...So much for the husband knowing more! Haha...thank you for the responses!!
