My youngest brother arrived at BC on June 29th.  We received his box on Tuesday, but haven't heard anything else other than his call to say that he arrived.  It's so strange not hearing from him.  I have read around and know that we should expect the packet with his mailing address/PIR information shortly after we got the box.  Nothing yet but we are all darting to the mailbox everyday!  haha!  Just can't wait to hear from him and see how he's doing.  Just wondering if anyone's recruit left that same day and what they've heard?

Hi, my son left that same day, and we just got the form letter with his address today.  You should have it soon.

I've been going through withdrawal not being able to have any contact with him...so glad I have his address now.  Even if he won't get his mail for a couple more weeks, I will begin writing him now!

Hello, my Husband left June 29th also, and I havent received anything yet.. Not even the box! You guys are so lucky to have already to got their boxes and even the form letter! Our daughter Julia and I miss him very. I check the mail everyday and even my complexs office to see if his box came in.Whats your sons PIR date, Carole?
Oh my you must hate the waiting...britt left June 28, I got the box 7/6/11 & her reciter emailed me here address on July 7good luck
I'd just ask

He graduates Aug 26th, 2011.  Sit tight, honey...I'm sure you'll get it soon.  Michigan is MUCH closer to GL than Texas!

All the best,

Carole

I'm thinking his will probably be the same then? Thats a week sooner than I was expecting too! I cant wait till I can get his form letter so I can start my travel plans. I'm trying not to think of time, but reading this makes me so anxious to get something. Thats okay, though, I know its all gotta work out one way or another :)

I'm in calif.... Brit got on her plane June 29, we got our call at 11 pm 1am Chicago time....I'm thinking your hubbys box should've arrived could be lost it's coming fed ex ground.... So I'd call his recuiter! Keep us updated.... Oh but no call from him his good news as it means they are on track, no issues!
I know I really need to call his recruiter, I'm just nervous of asking him. But now, seeing as everyone on here got their boxes n form letters, I really need to call him, especially since I havent even gotten his clothes yet(checked the mail twice today). He told me on the initial phone call that he'd be able to start writing this past Sunday, but I hope things didnt mess up getting shipped along the way. Yes I am from Texas.
We received his form letter today!  His PIR date is 8/26/11 as well.  It's exciting to get the date, and have that to look forward too now.  His letter at the bottom says that it's real hard, but he's doing well and getting through it.  I have been writing a few times a week since he's left so I'm mailing letters tomorrow.  :)
Well just to update I called his recruiter today and asked if it was common for his box not to be here yet and everything and he said yes. So I'm not worried. He was also able to call me back to give me his Ship&Div number for his address. I am soo happy and relieved. I just send off 3 letters. I hope they're able to reach him soon so I can make his day, finally. I'm glad to see our June29 SRs are finally going to be able to communicate with their loved ones now.
My son Ryan is Ship 11 Div 273. He left for BC on 6/28 and I still haven't gotten a call of mail from him except for the arrival call and his Box. Has anyone heard from their loved one yet? I was practicing 3-way calling yesterday with my husband just in case we are not together when he calls. (at&t lets up to five calls merge). This is heartbreaking for me...it is too quiet around this house! Can't wait til PIR on Aug 26th.
