Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Thank you... we've just completed all the POAs and I picked up his wallet tonight. Got his calling card, bandaids and moleskin ready. Now just to add the addresses and a picture or two and I believe he's all set... that is, if he'd pack his graduation bag and A School box!!

Our son ships out from L.A. today, June 12. There were 16 recruits at his swearing-in.

Portland is sending 14 recruits, I believe. My son had six in his Swearing-In, then the next group went in... I didn't get an accurate count. I have connected with two other moms from Oregon as well... so we may just have a group go to PIR!!

IduGr8Hair - I saw a post from you somewhere about flight delays but I can't find it now, so I'll reply here. Apparently there is a big storm front all the way from Iowa to Maryland, supposed to be one of the biggest of the year with thunderstorms and high winds. All flights into OHare were grounded at their starting airports until 7pm CST. My son's flight was supposed to leave LAX at 4pm. They finally took off after 7pm. Won't get into OHare until almost 1am. I hope he gets some sleep, because he was up for MEPS at 3am this morning!
There is a great website for tracking flights with real-time flight data at http://www.flightaware.com (hint:click on Speed or altitude GRAPH for up-to-the-minute data.)

Mine is on the plane again... to arrive at 11:10pm. Flight tracking has a flight path that is a wide circle behind the storm, so the duration is much longer. I sure hope the kids get some sleep!

My son left Kansas on the 12th, he got in late as well with delays at the airport, final call was at 4:45 am.
