OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Our son will be leaving the 13th as well.  This will be the 2nd time around for us as our oldest went last year.  Hope you are doing well and have found answers to any questions you may have.

So glad you connected on here. I have found many, many answers .... but I am sure I will have more questions.  I will be sure to connect with you again ... hope all goes well with your son.

Hello. I have found lots of answers but I am sure I will have more questions. My son graduated Sunday from HS so now it is full Navy mode around here.   I will message you if I have any questions and Godspeed to your family as well.

Did your son leave from Montgomery?

Yes he did

I think we talked as they got on the bus.  Your comments make me think we did.  Praying for our guys. <3

Yes that was me!! Lol. Yes they will do great. Thankfully they are now past the point of no sleep and can focus on the task at hand. Lord be with them.

you are a seasoned mom then? This is my youngest, my caboose.

I am beside myself, staying positive for him, but worried sick

Yes our youngest decided to follow big brother. We take him tomorrow morning to MEPS. He is excited but anxious. His brother had tried to help prepare him the best he could but of course he can only do so much.

my husband leaves june 13th! I am super anxious!

I couldn't imagine what it would be like for my spouse to go. My son's girlfriend is super anxious as well. They will do great though!
