Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Left Yesterday
Well I did better than I thought I would yesterday saying goodbye. However this morning was my melt down. Even though I have one already in the military it was still hard to say good bye to my baby knowing he will be much different the next time I see him. Hopefully these next 8 weeks will pass by quickly. Starting to count down already.

Yep it's hard.. my son who is 25 left June 3rd. And I just got info yesterday letting me know when is graduation is... I can't wait until I can see him in his uniform.. and since th is is the first time i had a child in the navy it's all new to me. And I know it will be a bitter sweet moment the next time I see him.. and the change that has taken place. And I'm starting count down as well. Have a beutiful day!!

That is the best, to see them in their uniform. My oldest is in the Army and he loves to wear his Class B uniform (the dress one). He wore it for his wedding and he looked so handsome and strong and sure of himself. I can't wait to see my youngest do the same. You will definitely be proud of the person your son becomes. The military has been so good for my oldest and I'm sure it will for my youngest. Hang in there mom, praying the days pass quickly for you.
