Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Its very nice your son wants to be with you..mine is so so..trying to see and do all things he wont be able to so that leaves precious little time for old mom whom he lives with..im boring..i wish he could see or should i say admit he will miss me !..have fun on vacation..youre a lucky lady!

I totally understand where you are coming from! My son is more interested in hanging out with his friends right now. We talked from midnight to 5 am the other day because it was the first time he wasnt at his friend's house all week. I'm looking forward to having him to myself for vacation. -

Hi there, my daughter is leaving June 27th. It's pretty much the same here. With her friends constantly, but I can't say as I blame her...she won't see them for quite a while if ever if they move away. I just scheduled a date with her for next Monday so I can actually talk to her alone. Which I know I'll probably end up crying (it seems to happen alot lately). Where are you going on vacation?

We are in Gatlinburg, TN. We went ziplining, horseback riding and tomorrow we go white water rafting. We are having a wonderful time. Dakota is having a great time and it has been nice having his full attention.
Have a great time on your date...where are you going? Im holding back tears this week but I'm sure they will stream next week! -

Just going out to lunch at a cafe she's never been to and taking her to play bingo at a casino. Not as exciting as ziplining, but at least it is some alone time with her. Last summer our family took a trip to South Carolina mainly because her brother was getting married this summer and it was the last time we thought we might all be together. Needless to say, the two broke up but it turned out to be the last time we would probably vacation as a family with our daughter anyway. We all went on a banana boat ride and me and her went parasailing. Great memories.

No, we live in Indiana. Bingo at a casino sounds fun! I love casinos but rarely find an occasion when I can leave the kids to go. Where do you live?

We're in Milwaukee, Wisconsin...about an hour away from Great Lakes which is kinda nice but its not like I can see her any more. However, her A school is there also, so she might be able to come home on the weekends. She's always wanted to go to the casino but couldn't until she turned 18. Her name is Becca by the way, maybe she'll get in the same bc group is your son. She's our youngest, do you have younger children? Lisa

Hey, Lisa. How nice that Becca's A school is there as well. Perhaps you can see her during that time.
Dakota is my oldest and I have four younger children. My youngest is 4 months. Kind of crazy...I got divorced and started over when I remarried. I thought I was done having children with my three oldest but my husband and I have two little girls now. What a difference it is parenting when you are older. I love it!
I just recently became a stay at home mom for the first time in my life. I quit my job of 14 years to stay home with the babies. It has been a blessing to be here more with Dakota (once he graduated from school) but it also leaves me with a lot of time to think and no one to talk to about it. I'm so thankful for this site. -

Spent the afternoon at the casino with my little girl today. Had a really nice time, didn't win anything but it was great. This Wednesday she goes to see her best friend (who's a marine) in Parris Island until Sunday night. So that will be a real test for me to see if I can let her go with no tears. Probably won't happen. lol
We have some friends who are in their late 40's, who had a baby a year ago. She said the same thing about being a parent this time around. Their son is actually in the Navy too, I remember 4 years ago sitting up with her when her son was leaving and now he's getting out. It seems like that time has gone so fast so hopefully it will for us too. However, my daughter has already told me she's already considering making a career of this is she likes it. I can do this...lol

My son leaves on June 28th as well. His dad and I are divorced, so I'm not getting to see him like I'd like, he's trying to spend time with his dad before he leaves, too. I dread the day, but I know this will be great for him and I can't wait to see how he's changed when we go for PIR!

Dakota's dad and I are divorced as well. I kow how splitting time with them is hard. We're gonna make it...it will be hard...but we can do it. :)
