We'll, it's happened...my son just left for boot camp and I'm a total mess. I know there are more of you other there in the same boat, and it's nice to know I'm not alone.

Karen, wait on The Form Letter before booking your flight unless you book with Southwest and can change your flight without a change fee if the date ends up not being 08/10/2018, which is the most likely date based on your recruit's ship date.

Hi, still no letter. Wondering how that is determined, like how long will it take.

When you receive The Form Letter all depends on which division your recruit was tentatively placed in upon arrival and if that division filled the day your recruit arrived or on a later date and then also on whether or not your recruit passed the initial run on the first attempt or the second attempt. So far The Form Letter is arriving 9 to 14 business days after the recruit's arrival at the RTC and those who receive a call saying something has changed are also receiving that call within that time frame or before. You have not received a call, so that is good news.

Hi,

I am glad there has been no calls.. I also get nervous though, we always want the best for our  kids. Will feel better when we get letter. Is it safe to assume that the longer he is there, the more likely he will graduate?

Yes, the longer he is there with no call saying otherwise means that he is expected to have PIR.

Thank you, for your guidance, very assuring!

You are very welcome.
