DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey everyone:
Be sure to check out the Calendar and if you see someone without a ship and division and run across them in your PIR group - please remind them to reply to the calendar so we can add them!! (or you can just reply and let me know) - I would hate not to 'finish' the month with everyone's numbers!!
I also want to remind everyone to join the 2011 March Madness Alumni group -
http://www.navyformoms.com/group/2011marchmadnessalumni
Now that we are spending a lot of time in our PIR and school groups - people tend to drift away from this one - and I want to be able to keep up with all of you that have been so supportive to each other thru this journey and the journey's to come!! This group has a special place in my heart!! I feel like we are all a family - just as our SR are family now!! Also - those that had SR leave early in the month - don't abandon those that had loved ones just leave - as they were with us through out the month - they too will need our support just as they supported us!!
Good luck to everyone - WRITE THOSE LETTERS - SEND THOSE CARDS - and don't be afraid to cry once in a while - it's only normal to miss them!! Big Group HUG!!
PIR PARTY WILL BE HERE SOON!!!
Welcome Inovell!!
I just added you to the calendar - Be sure to let me know what your ship and division are when you find out!!
Also - jump into the Main page and join in the conversations - ask questions - post comments - vent your emotions --we are very understanding - We are all here to support each other - and I might add the best group on the site!! LOL Glad to have you aboard!!
Angela, I have a lump in my throat for you. My only real fear was my son would not make it in Boot camp and he would be crushed as a result. However, as we all know, this path is not for everyone. I am praying a much better course of action will open for your daughter soon. Best wishes Mom.
