My daughter leaves the 24th of March. She is the youngest of my two daughters. Sending one off to college is really so different then sending them off to the military. I'm excited for her and nervous at the same time. My husband and I will also be empty nesters. GL to all our kids! Don't forget to go to Sarge's meet and greet.
What is the Sarge meet and greet...I am so new at this! Ahhh....
Sarge has a Meet and Greet for loved ones the night before PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend for more on that and much more.
My son is also leaving March 12, 2015. I am both proud and very nervous. He is my first to leave home as well.
Check your My Page.
I hear you. My son is 21 and is also leaving on the 12th. No college for him and I am proud of his decision, but I am still anxious.
I so understand! Mine did one semester of college wasn't for him either. My son is 20 adn leaves on the 11th. I am proud too but every time I think of him actually doing this all I do is cry. He is my first to leave the nest and he is 20.
I still keep on thinking that there are 14 days so I won't feel too sad yet, but those days will fly by.
My son is also leaving on March 12, 2015. It's only 17 days away and I can't stop being anxious. I look at him and just want to hug him and he tells me to stop. I have to stop and let him have his space but I just picture him as being my son, not a grown up sailor. Got any ideas to ease my anxiety. I definitely need some help.
You are singing my song my friend....feels better to know I am not alone.
