Not a mom but my brother leaves the same day, he is going in as an Aviation Machinist Mate (AD). What rate is your son? Time is ticking, my mom cried this past weekend, I think the reality is sinking in for her now...

Hi, Patrick is going to be a Mass Communication Specialist (MC). My son is starting to get very nervous, Is your brother?

"A" School for Mass Communication Specialist (MC) is at Fort George G. Meade, MD.  Sometime between now and the end of BC, you will want to check out Mass Communication Specialist and Parents whose Sailors are stationed at FT. Meade.  You may also want to check out the Fort George G. Meade, Md Facebook Page. The link to the for the Rating Information Card for MC is https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/mc.pdf.

Thank you, I have already done checking into the school.

Thats sounds like a neat job. I've asked him if he's getting nervous a couple of times and he just says not nervous just anxious. Honestly, I think that he's just playing tough guy but when we part ways with him after the swear in ceremony, reality will set in. Do you think that this is a good decision that your son has made to join? I believe that its the best thing for my brother right now...

I think its an excellent decision, im just going to miss him very much. Of course the week after he leaves it is his birthday and Easter on the same day. That will be a sad day

Awww...yeah my brother's birthday is in April itll be his first one celebrated away from home, he'll turn 19....

Yes my son is leaving that day also!

Where is your son leaving from and do you know what his job is going to be? Patrick is leaving from Boston.

AL is leaving from Boston on the 26th. Missile technician

they are leaving from Boston together. What are your plans? are you staying in Boston overnight?

Collette

We live 45 minutes from Boston, so we will not be getting a room . I don't think we can see him in the am can we? I don't really know
