Is anyone else experiencing “good” and “bad” days before your spouse has even left for boot and A school?  This is such a huge change for my husband and I. I can’t help but be excited, anxious and worried all at the same time. It's almost like a roller coaster. We have been together for 10 years and it’s going to be very hard adjusting to him not being around. I might be able to keep the house clean tho :D Does anyone have any advice or feedback on this topic?

Hang in there and pray! My daughter is also leaving soon. Everyday is an emotion, though we very much believe in the power of prayer. It is scary, but you will make it thorugh! Be proud and supportive. I am a former AF wife and they assured me they did not issue him one when he joined, however, they were great years and I made friends that I have to this day! He also will greatly appreciate you when he gets back! :) Bless you all and my prayers and thoughts are with you...

We are going through that, we haven't fought in years that we consider major but we fought the other night. It was an eye opener that he isn't mine and mine alone anymore. We have these great talks because of it though and we are using the Navy as an open dialog and something that we are working on. Keep talking, just talk and talk and talk because we don't have long before it's letters and a rare phone call. Stay positive, I know it's hard but it will all be okay. I think this is the time that we realize it's not about us anymore but about supporting them. We will all be okay. MSG me if you need support and we will work through it all together.

My daughter shipped out last week and our house is so quiet. It's nice but of course we miss her.  We had about 2 weeks of going away parties, "last" dinners and brunches out it was like a whirlwind.  I think keeping busy in the last few weeks and celebrating our time together helped get through the ups and downs.

Still waiting for her address to start sending her letters so it seems like we are in limbo. I'm sure the time in bootcamp will go quickly - for US anyway. I think it helps most knowing your sailor is doing what he or she has chosen to do and is doing something so important for our country and the entire world.  Hang in there!
