While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I can't believe he will be gone in 7 days. Seems like just yesterday he graduated from high school.

I am already starting to get all teary eyed and he still has a few more days. I have 2 boys. The other one is still in high school. The one leaving is my good child and the one I connect with the most and talk to the most. I will miss being able to talk to him and text him whenever I want.

My oldest son just graduated boot camp Friday, it was a really tough time for me when he was in boot camp without contact as he and I are really close. My second oldest is leaving on the 7th, seeing how I stalked the mailman I am hoping he will write. It's hard to describe it seems like the time dragged, but also seemed to go faster after the letters and the few phone calls came.

Well, he is gone now. I got the phone call tonight and now he is really gone. Feels very weird and empty around here already. Another mother told me there is a way to follow the group he is with on Facebook. Anybody know how to do that?

I got mine too, he sounded different and I was hoping he wasn't having problems. Did a lot of praying for him hoping things will get better. I kept telling myself it was a long day and he was just tired. I am hoping this goes by quickly for the boys.

My son will be also leaving for Great Lakes on the 7th. I just attend PIR (boot camp graduation) on Friday for my oldest and now already missing my 2nd son who will be leaving in less than a week for boot camp, time really goes fast.

The I'm here phone call was harder than I thought his recruiter tried to have us ready for it. I thought I was until I heard his voice. Not talking to him will be the hardest for me. I have read that even though Our Sons all started RTC on 11-6-2012 they might not all have the same PIR. I hope none of us have to wait longer than the 8 weeks.

Timing is everything! You posted this on my birthday and my son also left from Houston, TX on the November 6th! It hasn't even been a week and it is awful not knowing how things are going for him. Although, it has helped me to see the video of what he is going through and getting ready for the holidays has also helped.
