I know I will be too when we get my son's box. It has not come yet.  I am already near tears most of the time now. I know the hardest week has to be the first one from what others tell me.  We will get through this.

Wow, I wouldn't have thought it would came so soon! My son left October 6th too. Still no box

I know me either. I am still waiting for the box too. Wondering why it is taking so long.

Tawny, I left info on your My Page.

CorHunHay, check your My Page.

All,
My son left on the 6th and FedEx just delivered The Box. Now I guess the next hurdle is getting the form letter and hopefully not too far after that is the phone call.

We got our son's box today as well. I cried as I pulled his things out and I just hugged his jacket. Not quite the same as hugging him, but it will have to due until graduation.  I'm guessing that they had time to write yesterday, so hopefully in the next 2-3 days, the form letter and their first letter will come as well. I already have a stack of mail to send him; just need the address.

First full week of boot camp will be this coming Friday--That will be 1 down, 7 to go. The 3 week mark can't come soon enough. Hopefully he will have earned more than just a minute or two to talk.

By the way, anyone on this thread from Maryland or the east coast?

Im east coast. NC/VA
That's close. Glad to meet you.
You too. Have you gotten your form letter yet?

Sorry--just saw the post--yes, we got our letter last Wednesday.  I'm still trying to figure out the site---each group or post has a different format. I hope you have your letter by now as well.

Nice to know....we have family in PA and occasionally go to a PSU game or two.

I was starting to think I was the only one on the east coast. Lol. Nice to meet you.
